this is actually pretty spot on with what i was trying to say. the foundation people rest on for truth seems to be the one that makes the most people comfortable.

they say that schizophrenics have smaller hippocampi than non schizophrenics. without determining whether this is relevant to psychosis or subjective in terms of sample sizes, they have laid on this correlation as positive fact for the existence of insanity although philosophically this doesnt really exist. but philosophical reasoning isn't valid of course, unless you're talking about God.

Not codified in my mind I mean by societies specifically. Example: Religion is the eventual dogma, a product of insights into how people should treat each other codified to the point of meaninglessness.
