I'm familiar with S+C. Great program. Good for you. . I forget how HUD defines the different classes of homeless though. HUD, DCA, United Way, CDC...they all have different classifications for the subsets (sheltered, precariously sheltered, etc). Very annoying when working on funding and grants.

The most humiliating day of my life was walking into that shelter. It kills me to read this, so very, very true. I can relate. Thank you for sharing your experience. Unfortunately, he cannot understand this, and it takes a lot of control for me to hope he never does.

Great post. Hard to say exactly what OP is doing here, but at any rate at least the people with legitimate experiences are getting the word out.
