  8. That depends on how he perceives the local culture. For the last 5 years I've been living on a small Mediterranean island. The locals are culturally Catholic Arab pesants. I'm a cosmopolitan, multilingual, intellectual and atheistic European aristocrat. Needless to say, I don't even speak the local dialect. Why bother? Most of the local elites stick to English too and often prevent their own children from learning the local dialect.

  13. Actually, Google Keyboard, which is the default option on all Nexus devices, also supports gesture typing quite well. In fact, that's what I used both on my smartphone and tablet. Works well, though it does take some getting used to.
