  1. Hi, see that you're new here and may not be familar with how to quote posts. Please refer to the FAQ section on manually adding quote tags to posts. Writing your own post content inside the quote tags and/or using bold tags to separate your text from the other user is non-standard and makes your posts difficult for others to read. Thank you.

  2. So, another NICU nurse that also does couplet care. I have also Labour and Delivery experience, and have worked as a Lactation Consultant. I don't have any problem working with women as patients, but the SJ nurses make me crazy, too. Funny thing is, I originally wanted to do chemical engineering. But, I figured that would only exacerbate my tendency to avoid human contact. It has been a steep learning curve dealing with the all the different personalities out there, and I am glad I chose the career that I did.
  3. Welcome to the forum! How are this cold evening?

  4. Love my Apple IPhone 3g. Not sure whether to upgrade or not. I like the user friendly features such as the onscreen keyboard and layout, plus mine is jailbroken as well.

  6. Your power comes from an ability to sense how things might be and to proclaim this possibility with a great force and willingness to act. You have a tendency to be romantic, and can be an idealist. This sense of how the world can be is often expressed with self-deprecatory humor. Because of your need to address the immediacy of the moment, you may not think things through to their logical end, relying instead on a feeling for how a situation SHOULD end. You need to be liked and appreciated by others, although your attention often wanders. Sometimes you neglect old friends in favor of a new or exciting acquaintance. You have a real difficulty being alone. Often you will seem to know how to handle a situation without exactly knowing HOW you know this. Your thoughts are often shallow. While in the excitement of the moment you can obsess about a task at hand. If it should become rote and unexciting, however, it can be dropped just as quickly. Surprisingly accurate
  7. I would say my intuition is correct in a big picture kind of way over time about 90%. Terrible for details though. This applies for interpersonal situations, lovelife, well, actually, most situations. If only I had a dollar for every intuition proved correct over time, after initially seemingly wrong.
  8. 2 years community college to obtain a Nursing Diploma by age 21; then Bachelor of Arts Psychology Major at age 36.
  9. Why, hello there and welcome.
  10. Hello there!
  11. Hello, and welcome.
  12. Well, hello there.
  13. Another RN here. A possibility I would like to bring up is hypomania,and/ or mixed state. Neither means one is psychotic. Ultradian cycling bipolar disorder consists of very frequent mood swings, often within the same day. It only gets worse with time. It is treated with monotherapy, ie Seroquel, lithium, or combinations of drugs, usually mood stabilisers, , anticonvulsants such as Tegretol, or atypical antipsychotics. Long and short of this is... only a mental health professional can sort this out for you. A family doctor misdiagnosed someone close to me with unipolar depression for 30 years, yet her proper diagnosis was bipolar 2, treated very successfully with Seroquel.
  14. Insanitarium. Awful and depressing on SO many levels. Sybil -so removed from the much better book. The Kite Runner. And especially, The Lovely Bones.
