"Nao sou boa nem quero se-lo, contento-me em desprezar quase todos, odiar alguns, estimar raros e amar um."
  1. Yes, that's what I meant. Although the no harm to animals would be hard since medicines require safety trials which is basically animal testing.
  2. Biotech Pharmaceuticals is where I ended up as a Biochemistry and Genetics graduate. From that you could probably get into a production/manufacturing type role, Quality Control testing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, etc. Within each of these roles there are different dynamics and career paths in leadership, project management, technical specialists, training specialists... I got sucked into Quality Assurance almost straight out of my BSc. The role can differ from company to company, but you have to know all of the regulations, industry norms (learnt on the job). I generally get called to solve all the problems when things end up in the grey area of the rules. On my daily job it can be anything from interpreting genetic sequencing data, stability statistics reports, cell culture viability data, engineering machine failures, software glitches, etc. There is plenty of opportunity to communicate on a coaching basis or at a grander scale if you like that sort of thing. There's also the benefit of knowing something you work on makes people feel better or even saves lives.
  3. Hey, hows it going? :)

  4. Ooh! I'd like to see the website

  5. Sounds planned / intentional (the moody thing)!! :D

I can't wait to get a garden. Might be a while though. :( Good idea to ditch processed meals; it's hard to know exactly whats in them. I prefer knowing exactly what's in my food. Soups are good and fairly quick. Half an hour to make, maybe.

Yeah my blogs been a bit quiet; I'm pretty stressed out at the moment with the living situation. I don't think it's the right time to buy, but it's also just not worth renting as I'd be tied in for 6 months then. I think I'm facing 3-4 more months living with family! :( Plus, I know finding a house that I really like will be a very stressful task, so I'm not really looking forward to that process.

  6. So true. I miss Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Time Crisis... I still own Time Crisis 2 on the PS2 with two pistols though.
  7. *shrugs* Having a bit of a girl phase overthinking things and being a bit moody. The new house is good though. Trying to figure out what to plant on my garden. I want some strawberries and herbs but I got plenty of space for more. Going through a transition phase to ditch most pre-prepared meals and start making everything from scratch (requires mastering recipes easy enough for after a 12h shift). Found a wholesale meat supplier and a farm shop to cater to my fresh ingredient needs.

How about you? You haven't written in your blog for a long time.

  8. Hi, haven't seen you around for a while. How's it going?

  9. I took WoW fairly seriously when it first came out. Especially when the ranks came out. Stayed in the top 20 pvp ranks despite being a hybrid healer/tank. The rest of my guildies took most of the ranks above mine. It took far too much time and was very draining along with my job. My hands aren't steady enough for FPS though and I was put off it when I was sick after playing an hour of Wolfenstein when I was 12. I will most definitely get into serious gaming when I'm nearer retirement age. Now I stick mostly to single player games (not many due to being a bit of a workaholic nowadays) and League of Legends.
  10. Welcome back! It's nice to read you again.
  11. Oooh, I like that blog! I have finished Lair of the Shadow Broker this week. It is great! Loved it. So satisfying in so many levels. I really hope for more before before ME3. Maybe an Alenko/Ashley one? Following up with an ME character is proving to be a lot of fun. I'm at 75% paragon at the moment with nearly 50% renegade. I really missed Shepard's badass lines.
  12. Brioche is wonderful. I really like it with chocolate chips. I'll bring a big one to share.

  13. I do belive you said the magic word: Cake!

Although recently I've developed a bit of a thing for Brioche - no idea where that's come from....

    Care for an exchange? :)

  14. Meep! I bring cake! :) Hope you are well.

  15. Mass Effect 2 Cosplay Cygnus, hope you like the last pic :)
