say what you will about futurama and family guy, but South Park has been outstanding for at least the past 5 years, and every season keeps getting better!

I agree with you. The humor is much higher in South Park than in the other shows you mentioned. I catch it when I can.

South Park is brilliant. Crude, yes, but better than any of the sitcoms or other mainstream television that pops up these days.

South Park is one of my favorite shows ever. And I think it has consistently gotten better every season. And their social and political commentary is dead on.

A point of pride with me is that I grew up in the town the creators grew up in. Matt Stone spoke at my sister's high school graduation

Very funny show. They insult everyone. Poor Kenny always gets killed by someone.

I have to disagree a bit here. On the whole, South Park is still enjoyable but when they started throwing in all those movie spoofs, it lost a bit of the edge when it came to ascerbic social commentary. Just my $0.02, I still prefer the earlier seasons, but I just....can't....stop....

The 300 spoof was funny as hell though.

The best was the WoW episode, though. "How can you kill that which has no life?"

Mmm I've always been partial to South Park, but my family has never been a keen supporter of it. Recently been having a SP marathon and watching every episode in order, just finished Season 4. Having only seen this far, I'd like to say that Season 2 was gold, and the standout episode that I can remember (actually S03) was the 'Spontaneous Combustion' episode:

Newsreader: "It's f*cking hot, thanks to the global warming caused by Randy Marsh, that son of a bitch. I hate that guy and so do you."

and

Randy Marsh: "I'll do what I have to, Mayor. Or else? Or else what. Exactly."

and

Chef: "You children shouldn't be out crucifyin' yourselves in this heat. But what I'm gonna tell you now is gonna really piss you off Eric... this is just a dream, you're still up on that cross!"
Cartman: "Goddamnit!"

Ahhh too good.

I must agree with this. I hate Family Guy and never feel the slightest urge to go and watch some Simpsons.
Southpark, however, kicks ass. I can't really explain why though...

Because they're from Colorado. All things from Colorado inherently kick ass.

My personal opinion is that South Park is brilliant, and I'll never consider myself to be famous until they tear me up on the show.

Yes.

How is South Park more biased, objectively speaking, than The Boondocks (though I admit the animated version of the latter is less political than the comics version)? Perhaps South Park is simply biased against things you support, while The Boondocks isn't.

I enjoy them both, though my personal biases often tend to correspond with South Park.

I enjoy it comically, but when they try to convince everyone of a concept in a fake environment that they control, I tend to balk while everyone else is saying "they are sooooo right!"

Oh, everything worked out in a way that is contributes continuity to Stan's speech at the end of the episode... amazing.

it's an analogy. Although they are biased. They just happen to be biased in a way that I agree with.

Of course it's an analogy, I just don't prefer that method of one-sided argumentation, despite that I probably agree with more of what they're saying than disagree.

how exactly do you have a two-sided argument on TV? They usually have a few voices of dissent in the characters if some of the other characters are pushing some world view.

Why are we even arguing south park political bias, it's a friggin comedy, it's supposed to be presumptuous, thats where all the best humor is.
