Omnivore's Dilemma.

Anyone else have a disturbing book? Or Nikita - anything disturbing besides the Peace Corp report

Went to bed at about 11:45. I watched Hellraiser then fell asleep.

I guess the only books I'd consider disturbing were ones that I read as a kid. I read this weird airport quality novel called Messiah when I was young and it was pretty messed up. Lots of torture, people getting skinned alive, etc.

What book have you started and never finished?

My brother had some African frogs that had claws and would tear things to shreds. I guess that is pretty weird.

You?

Um... Ant farm full of dead ants? No, wait, I had a nightcrawler in a styrofoam cup of dirt in my desk for a while in elementary school. Until it was confiscated.

I had a pet preying mantis when I was 5. I called him Bert. Now everyone in my family calls all mantises "Bert" as in "oooh look! There's a Bert!"

Have you ever killed a pet?

No, but I adopted crayfish in the 2nd grade and they cannibalized each other.

How many countries have you visited?

Only 1 - NZ (such a great place I can't imagine living anywhere else).

Do you prefer to be living in one place or move around a lot?

It doesn't matter to me

How knowledgeable are you when it comes to technology?

Most disturbing book I read, cover to cover, was the Bible. Second place goes to Lolita.
I had an albino hedgehog for a pet.
Yes, I have killed pets.
I've visited.. 14 countries, if you count vatican city.
I've lived in two countries, if you count living one summer in Mexico.
I like living in one place, but traveling a lot.

Very knowledgeable when it comes to computers. Pretty good in other areas.

Same question.

hmm...well...i can almost always figure out how to do what i need to do with it (computers, TVs, DVD players, etc.), but i couldn't explain any of it to you...it's more instinctive (or trial and error with very little error)

How often do people come to you for help with technology-related problems?

Not often, but I am usually the one who finally fixes the problem if they do come to me.

Bizarrely, at least a few times a week.

I have never in my life run a mile, and I hope to god I never will. If I did... let's say I'd take a few days. I need nap breaks.

Where did you eat your lunch today?

I love Gil Elvgren, and this particular pin-up combines several aspects that suit me. Plus, my previous main one was Ferdinand the Bull... whom I love, but... this one conveys more of my personality. Not everyone reads children's books, so Ferdinand was kind of obscure.

Where did you go last time you flew somewhere?

Ate lunch high on a hill in the shade of a tree with a cool breeze to my back. Then I took a nap.

Avatar was the sun taken from a meaningful picture of mine.

My last flight was to Las Vegas.

What are you most looking forward to this weekend?

Not having to go to work on Monday. I don't get paid for it either, but hey. I can do whatever I want for three whole days, and I'm taking my sister out for the day on Monday. She's turning 30.

What was the last photo you took?

I took a picture of my bed the other day to test out an old camera I was given. Not very exciting, but it did make me miss taking real photographs. I used to take photos of a lot of bands I saw as a hobby.

On average, how long does it take you to fall asleep?

2 minutes.

If you could ask anyone (dead or alive) any question, who would you choose and what would you ask them?
