Statue of Perseus with the head of Medusa
Caravaggio works in general
I'm usually not a fan of still-life works, but there are some various Dutch still life paintings that are quite impressive.

Do you enjoy creating art yourself, and if so, what?

Yup. Short stories, satire, parodies, etc.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Its a tie between my hair color and my weight. Used to be the hair color. But I am going grey so that's working itself out.

What would you do in an ice storm?

Assuming I lacked appropriate outdoor gear? Hole up inside and entertain myself.

Cook, usually, although a restaurant can be nice now and then.

I've never gotten seriously lost, sometimes despite my best efforts.

Just maybe a block or two off target if I'm in a new city.

I enjoy creating poetry, though I'm bad at it.
In 5 years I see myself wrapping up my Ph.D.
What I hate most about myself is my tendency to procrastinate.
I would also hole up during an ice storm.
I have my lower wisdom teeth, but not the upper ones.
Yes to tonsils.
Yes to appendix.
Yes to virginity.
Some naivete, still, but not much.
All teeth but top wisdom ones.
Prefer to travel.

Only got lost once. I got mixed up on the streets of Amsterdam. Spent about an hour trying to get back to where I was supposed to be. Not very exciting.

Do you know how to start a fire without matches/lighters?

Yes! I have some skills in the fire department.

Have you ever stayed in a hostel?

Yes, I stayed exclusively in hostels during my few trips to Europe. They can actually be quite nice, if you do your research beforehand (which I did.) I recommend hostelworld.com

What is the most run-down place you've ever stayed in? (This excludes tents/camping trips)

When I lived in kodiak we rented a small shack that basically had dirt floors in the bedroom. I woke up one morning with 5 LARGE spiders in bed with me. I am still scarred emotionally from that house.

What has been the worst day in your life so far?

My father's death.

Same question.

Srsly, there are about five That have left equal scars. three involve death or maiming of a cat (two accidental one natural) one involves something with my dad that I've mostly blocked but caused me to have a nervous breakdown at age ten. and then my ex trying to kill me by slashing my throat with a broken crystal glass (bet your sorry you asked)

what's the best day of your life so far?

I'm sorry if it caused you discomfort to recount it, but I'm never sorry to learn about the formative experiences of interesting people, whether good or bad. Technically you asked, though, I just used a magic mirror to bounce it back at you

The best day, hmmm. I've had a lot of good periods, but the only days that stand out are a) the births of my little sisters, and b) graduating high school (graduating college was much more of an accomplishment, of course, I was just so glad to be done with high school.) The little sisters probably win, though.

*bounce*

hmm, distressingly, this is very hard for me to think of a particular grand day. Maybe I need to go see a shrink

in recent memory, last week when I found out my cat wasn't immediately dying but was just momentarily sick.

What is your favorite ice cream flavour
