A week. I'm lazy.

What's the longest you've ever gone without going outside?

Hmmm... Probably a week as well, though due to illness.

Same question.

Who is that guy in your avatar?

That's Mr. Darcy, from the most recent movie adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

What was the last political principle or ethical idea you changed your position on?

Sorry, I wasn't being clear. I meant to say that this forum has challenged my beliefs and forced me to examine them in more depth, but I haven't changed my opinion on anything (for example, gun rights).

What is your vision of a utopia?

Utopia... my vision of it is empty, because it's impossible. I really, honestly don't have a view of utopia.

My question remains the same. I was not just referring to changing your mind through this forum, but changing your mind at all. I wasn't trying to get at gun rights, either. I know your mind was not changed on that.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. The last ehtical/political idea that I changed my position on was abortion (I come from a very conserative family).

What is your idea of a perfect day?

Wake up early in another country, by myself. Spend all day exploring the town/city/countryside, seeing new sites. That's my perfect day, though it's not something I could do everyday.

You?

I want to sleep in, be awoken by a genius idea, and then spend the day writing, engaging in deep catharsis. It's simple, but sublime.

Taken by a bunch of ESFPs to the local mall, where I am forced to evaluate the new outfits of each of them.

Do you believe in the efficacy of any alternative medicines?

What do you consider alternative? I believe in natural medicine (not unnatural chemically reproduced alternatives).

What does heaven and hell mean to you?

No, but I haven't heard well-phrased argument in favour of alternative medicines, so that is liable to change.

Heaven and Hell are mere myths designed to keep religious followers in line.

Do you believe in aliens?

Heaven and hell can be used metaphorically, but metaphysically I think they are fictitious.

I believe it very likely that there is other life in the universe, I do not think any of it has visited us.

Let's say homeopathy, then. Do you think it is effective?

I do not know anyone who has experienced it, nor have I seen any scientific studies looking into it, so I cannot have an opinion.

Would you want to be kept alive as a vegetable?

No, no, no. A vegetable is not alive in any moral sense. I mean, *I* wouldn't suffer for it, since whatever there may have been of something called "me" would be gone by then, but it would be a waste of resources.

Would you want to be kept alive in a coma, which doctors gave you less than 1 in 1000 chance of coming out of?

To Rudy: Heck no. I am against being in a persistent vegetative state. A month maybe to come out of it, but after that, no way. Plus, it would be such a financial burden on my parents, I'd rather the money be used on them LIVING a life.

(I already answered this question) Worst fear: My mom passing away.

What's your favorite Rolling Stone or New Yorker cover?

I don't read either, ever... The only one I can even think of is the first cover Britney Spears did for Rolling Stone. *sigh* She was nice to look at, at least.

Favorite Disney film?

"fatuous" It applies to so many things that people say =D

(fatuous - "complacently stupid or inane; silly; foolish" or "Vacuously, smugly, and unconsciously foolish.")

Yours?

I have no purpose other than what I make for myself. I have chosen to try and contribute to the intellectual wealth of humanity, and hopefully do other things to leave humanity better than I found it.

Which is the best type of love: eros, philia, agape or storge?
