"Tactus Technology made its Tactic Layer by using a microfluidic system that lets the interactive elements “pop out” of the touch (virtual) screen..."
If you can view porn on it, I'm going to write a virus and call it "Viagra". |

well that technology was invented millions of years ago... every living creature there is has it and we are the living prove of it.
Honestly, do you think that what we see and feel is truly real? Common, everything we see and touch and feel is perceived by our neurons. If anything happens to our eyes, we loose eyesight, if anything happens to specific areas of our brain, we loose that portion whether it is smell, taste, or touch. We are a walking touchscreen technology. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. In any event, is great that we are finally coverting our own mysteries into technology. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Not trying to include religion, but this video provides an insigh to how our eyesight works from a scientific perspective To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. Well this is useful from a utility perspective - perhaps less of an issue from a philosophical one. Although some kind of direct neural interface would create interesting questions about reality.

I have the HP TouchSmart 310 PC and I like it; however, it can be annoying whenever you have bugs touching the screen and personally I'm so used to the mouse that I don't use the touchscreen part as much.
It would be interesting to see how their technology would differ from the one I have. Hmm.... a 3D stick up touchscreen, I wonder if I can upgrade my current touchscreen with that technology to see how it feels. It seems to be more of a trick on the eyesight than anything else. |

This is actually awesome. I'm currently in the process of buying a new cellphone and I just can't bring myself to buy one with a touchscreen, I can *not* type on those things. I really need tactile feedback. Hope that'll be possible when I buy my next cell in 2016 or so

I haven't owned a cell phone in years. Still, I will appreciate not having to navigate through 'smart' phones' touch screens when I have to borrow a friend's.

We need smell-o-vision touchscreens. Seriously, we need something to smell now! |

It's not as bad as it seems at first. It takes about a month of use before it 'clicks.' |

I imagine there will be some interesting positive-feedback glitches.
