Most manipulative language developed for marketing/PR purposes.
I ride the train often, and whenever there is a delay, they avoid using that word in announcements. They wait until the moment when the train was supposed to arrive, and then announce "The 10:30 train to Somewhere City will arrive in 10 minutes". The word 'later' is also avoided. On signs it now merely says "+10 minutes". Trains are never canceled either, but they "will not be going". Also: "I'm not a racist, but".
