I think we need to give pro no-makeup voters a test to see how accurately they can identify who is and isn't wearing makeup. How unscientific of you!

We need a thread for this for sure.

Every man here will say "natural", but when a highly made up woman walks by they will drool over her.

It's not about the look for some men; it's about wanting to know you're seeing her and not the stuff on her face.

Minimal makeup.
Makeup should accent/complement. It should not be used as paint.

Minimal to no makeup. It's not hard for even a little too much makeup to make me go "blech" let alone way too much makeup. The biggest problem is too much foundation. It makes their face look like plastic. Or it makes their face an obviously different color from their neck. It doesn't take much for lipstick to bother me, either. Anything that looks like paint is bad.

Foundation is a big problem. It's so hard to find one that matches skin tone correctly. Even as a female, when I see girls that have that foundation line around their face I cringe. I understand that it's hard to get a perfect match but it's all about blending!

I don't wear foundation because it does tend to look fake. It also tends to settle in every line and make someone look older. I wear tinted moisturizer and mineral powder. Much more natural.

I've seen girls that look like a completely different person without makeup. These are the girls that do dramatic eye makeup and heavy foundation. I think it's more the eye makeup that makes them look like a different person. With dramatic eye makeup you can literally change the shape of your eye and the perceived color a tiny bit. So you think she has a beautiful cat eye and then without makeup the eye's are turned down and look nothing like the cat eye shape.

This is a great example of that. This is a girl that does makeup videos on YouTube.

Personal from an aesthetic, physical point of view I prefer them with some make-up. There are a few women go can get away with the natural look, and usually already have beautiful facial features.

Makes me wonder how insecure some of the women are around my town. My partner has taken to calling them 'painted whores'. A good laugh, given that most look the part.

Wow this is really offensive. Have you ever stopped to think that it has nothing to do with insecurity? I wear a lot of makeup every day and it sure as shit has nothing to do with insecurity. If someone called me a painted whore for wearing makeup, I would venture to guess they were projecting their own insecurities.

Yeah...that little black Egyptian triangle thingie never fools anybody. It just makes you look like you don't understand how eyeliner works.

It always bothers me when I watch a movie and notice that the female character somehow managed to wakeup with a face full of makeup. Did she put it on before she went to sleep? Does she sleepwalk to the vanity? Did she wake up early, put on her face, then lay down again?

Winged eyeliner is a classic. Like Audrey Hepburn

I do the winged eyeliner everyday but I use eye shadow for the line, as to make is less harsh. I did wear black liquid liner for a while but I've backed off of that for now. I'm talking about something like this:

That's all done with eye shadow on the lids to make it look like your eyes are wider and "pointier" than they are. If you see a picture of her without make up, her eyes look small and turned down. That's why I think eye makeup can be the most "deceptive"

I may wear makeup everyday but I'm just as comfortable without it on. I don't care if someone I'm with sees me without it. It's better that way I think. I don't like the idea that girls are supposed to look perfect all the time, hence the waking up with making up thing. No one is perfect. Let your flaws shine! Makeup is supposed to be something fun for ladies (and some gentlemen) to play with. It's not supposed to be negative.

I wear the minimum: eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick.
It's not that I feel more attractive; it's more like I feel more "presentable" when I wear makeup.

As for the others, I wear perfume and hair products just above every day. It's not overpowering, just a little dash.

I do prefer when women wear makeup. It's the norm, so when someone isn't wearing makeup, it can be very noticeable, and not in a good way.
Though, stay away from the fucking suntan lotion. I fucking hate that shit.

I prefer a woman who is natural , but I don't mind make-up, if she feels it validates or adorns her by all means knock yourself out.

Are you simply referring to a visual norm, which bestows a quality of uncanniness upon everything that departs from it?

Yeah, in a way. I think It's a combination of being a visual norm, but not just a norm for norm's sake. It does make females look a lot better, if used correctly.

I think girls are pretty in general so I don't mind if they use or don't use make up. Whatever makes them happy is what's most important. It's when they cake their face with the stuff I don't like, just because it looks artificial. Make up looks uncomfortable. Oh, and Audrey Hepburn looks gorgeous in that picture.

Natural is better...I also seem to be more attracted to girls who either don't use make up or rarely use it. It must correlate with some facet of personality I find attractive.
