Well, hello to whoever might read this.

I must say that I am very new to finding this INTJ box under the things in my self-awareness closet. I was encouraged by a friend to take a personality test some months ago, and I have since taken several, all telling me the same thing: I'm an INTJ. I'd never given any credibility to this sort of thing before, but on reading the descriptions, I was sort of blown away at how mostly very accurate they are (except that my "T" avoids being an "F" usually only by a small degree, so I actually have a pretty hefty "F" side to offset my "T"; which means that I probably do better in relationships than I would if the "T" were more dominant. So I'm an INTJ with empathy and more outward warmth. But my INTJ credentials are sound.).

I have read that the best companion for an INTJ is an INFJ, and, having found myself sadly and suddenly single after many years, I have met two INFJ's whom I find I can talk with for hours quite comfortably and happily, so I think the claim is an accurate one. I'm curious to learn from veteran INTJ's about the whole relational connection thing. Unfortunately, there are almost as few INFJ's as INTJ's, so finding someone who is right in all other regards including this one will be like looking for the proverbial needle in the proverbial haystack.

Anyway, to my INTJ friends, here I am. I feel like an orphaned child who has finally stumbled accidentally back into the family he never knew he had.

Oh, and yes, if you're counting, I'm perfectly aware that that's the third metaphor in a single introductory post.

I wouldn't worry, we make such fantastic partners that I'm sure there are other types going crazy trying to track us down...Sarcasm... Other types look for that in a partner yes?... No?

Thanks for the welcome, and especially for the fish. I feel a sort of belonging that really wouldn't have been complete without the trout.

General Maximus Decimus Meridius, we've been waiting for you. The ballistas and trebuchet are loaded, the archers stand ready, and the cavalry has maneuvered to flank the enemy position. The legionnaires of Rome's northern army await your command.

Welcome.

We like metaphors.....and anagrams.............and............. well anyway....

You've been slapped by a fish, given and army but told you can not have weapons--a pretty well rounded INTJ hello so I'll just say welcome.

Welcome from a type rarer than INTJ; INFJ! I do get along well with INTJ's and okay, I'll finally admit that my F is just 1% from X.

That trout of Rose's has been slapped around so much I'm surprised it's not just a messy puddle of pulp by now.

Good day. You may like to know that there are quite a lot of theories about the best partners for INTJs; and that quite a lot of INTJs end up being single for quite a lot of time.

Thank you for the warm welcome; even the fish was warm, or so it seemed on contact. I quite feel at home already.

That's rather enviable, in a way. Welcome!
