You've finished the school do you need to attend the graduation ceremony?
Yes I did. Partly because I wanted to and partly because my parents wouldn't let me not go.

Is it a big deal to you?
No. It was just another customary event, and thankfully it wasn't over the top.

How did it make you feel?
I didn't feel anything. I was asked this question on that day by a friend of mine, and I said I feel nothing, and I don't think I ever will. I was glad to have finished High School, to part myself from the hundreds of idiots that attended my school and be done with it.

Did you attend a prom or party afterwards?
No. The few close friends I have had since early Elementary School and I celebrated by going to a restaurant and staying at my place for the evening.

Which [part of] graduation was your favorite or worst?
My favourite part would be seeing my friends on the stage, accpeting awards etc. The worst part would be all the people who were shocked that I didn't attend prom. Prom, was a waste of money, time and energy.

I'd rather not spend $120 on a ticket, $140 on a suit, worry about finding a prom date, spend the night at the school (They locked everyone in until the morning to prevent DUI.) I'd rather not pretend to have a good time and force a smile on my face.

Man, my graduation was a friggin' HUGE deal to me. I went back to university late (30s), and only after hoping and praying that I could somehow do it, and a big miracle making it possible. Then I absolutely worked my ass off for 4 years, risked marital satisfaction, passed by many relationships, spent a lot of money, and lived off my husband's earnings for that time.

DAMN STRAIGHT I went with bells on! It was hugely emotional that I finally had the opportunity to do what everyone else got to do. Amost friggin' kissed the honour chord. I loved almost every minute, cried in triumph and at how much support my husband was giving, got flowers, had my accomplisment and photo in the local paper, the ENTIRE 9 yards.

LOL, Monte.

Well, I went to mine but only because of the gift incentive. My mom and I had a spat about me not going and she says if I didn't go I wouldn't get the money family and friends sent to me. I'm like "Money you say?" Apparently, they sent me $800 for college and all I had to do was wear some stupid outfit and be a spectacle for about an hour. I didn't like it but I was so there!
