Hello all! I just found your forum today and decided it might be an interesting place to learn a thing or two; explore some interesting minds; and have some fun.

According to my birth certificate and passport I am 44, but in my experience, not even border police believe that.

I work in social psychology and linguistics, and for what its worth, MBTI has me pegged as an INTJ. Whatever the case, curiosity is my middle name. I am often told that curiosity killed the cat...and my usual retort is that the cat has 9 lives....with the added philosophical possibility that each life is a new cat with 9 more lives....

If you are into astrology and you ask me if Leos are arrogant (and people seriously have the sillyness to ask me that), I'll just tell you that I'm a double Leo.

I am woman: HEAR ME ROAR!

Well, enough about me. How do YOU like me?

Ok, soooo my sense of humor is not for everyone, but it keeps me amused in a crazy world.

Hello.

Please start by explaining why would you kill that cat. The fact that the cat can be theoretically immortal is not good enough, as each iteration of the cat will be different, and thus you commited murder on a unique cat in a string of unique cats.

My liking of you depends on the answer to the above.

Me? I have killed no cat and have no intentions of ever doing so...well unless in some very unlikely event that some cat is trying to kill ME...but that would never ever happen because all cats simply adore me.

Man, she's smart... AND perky! This might be too much for us to handle.

Um,... so far - so good, and better still if you tell us if that's you in the Av photo? If it is, I'm with the border guards - 44 is a little hard to believe.

Welcome to Forum, Ma'am.

That seems to be most of the people here. That's how we like it though... at least most of us.

Yes, that is me in my avatar. However, that picture is about 4 years old. I have not changed much except that I have lost about 100 pounds. Actually, that was the picture in my passport when my train was held up at the Serbian border for a while because the border patrol kept passing my passport around trying to decide whether or not it was legitimate. It probably didn't help that I was backpacking around like a gap year kid and wearing a cute outfit with my long hair in 2 pigtail braids....which makes me look even younger.

My new passport has a different picture, but I often have issues when officials see my birth-date. Looking young and living long runs in the family and being a happy, fascinated, well-engaged person probably helps a lot.

I don't know how to post more recent pics here. I don't see a link.

If you can't figure out how to post pictures, I can photoshop you up in no time!

Do you want horns? Scales? What's your favorite animal? And, uh, how do you feel about bugs?

Now that's a dangerous combination - the experience of years, the mind of an INTJ and a deceptively young appearance it's hardly surprising the border guards were being careful. All said in the nicest possible way - welcome.

I have never believed in God, Monte, but if the universe turns out to be in the hands of some MerlinJedi canine, well, that might explain a lot!

I would never want to be a bug; too easy to squash....and often rather pointlessly annoying (I can certainly be annoying, but not pointlessly).

Horns and scales? No thank you, kind sir, I like looking young and relatively friendly. I much prefer retractable claws.

Please forgive my tardiness in thanking you all for your welcome. I have been perusing the community.

"This self-confidence, sometimes mistaken for simple arrogance by the less decisive, is actually of a very specific rather than a general nature; its source lies in the specialized knowledge systems that most INTJs start building at an early age."
