Would you rather work your way through politics with favors and sleazy friends, or through the military?

I'd rather work up through the military. But preferences are not always what life presents.

Would you rather honestly claim your job is fulfilling or honestly claim your job is not fulfilling, within the context of your current job?

at the moment it's not fulfilling only because while it's helpful to an extent, I end up feeling helpless a lot of the times because of the regulations...and it's really annoying to be hung up on by people who are pissed off because I can't do anything for them

Would you rather win the lottery and spend all of the money within 6 months, or never win the lottery at all?

Win and spend! No reason to let that go to waste, a lot could be done with that money.

Would you rather be given $1 billion that you MUST spend only on yourself, or be given $50 million that you can spend on whatever you wish?

I'd want my wife with me.
But no one else, it would be selfish I think.

You? (Good questions btw)

Would you rather figure out how to construct a home on the island using only materials native to the island (this includes making your own tools), or stumble upon an abandoned tomb there and live in it?

I would love to make my own house. Especially if I had someone to build it with/for.

Jeff Gordon. I'm not sure racing my Dad would prove much.

Would you rather go to a Nascar event or a UFC event?

The rules are there to protect the fighters. It's a sport, and there are [limited] rules in place for a reason.

Changing locations is preferable, given my seeming inability to identify any place beyond my parent's house as a legitimate "home". I go with the flow. My roommates call me "the chill one".

Would you rather have your ankles shackled or your wrists shackled?

Ankles. Hopping around would strengthen the calves a lot.

Would you rather feel like you have a "home" or not?

I volley...I've never really had a place to call "home," so I guess I don't know what I'm missing...but sometimes I wonder - then the urge to explore greener pastures sets in and I don't give a shit anymore - home really is wherever you are

I already feel that I have a "home," which is by definition where my parents live.
The fact is that though I will never live there again, it is nonetheless "home".
I see no value in refusing to define this as "home", it only provides an additional source of strength.

What is the longest you want to live consecutively in one place in your life?

as long as I live there, I don't have any preconceived notions about it...i only recognize that i've never had a "home" - ironically, i don't even have a hometown, and according to the yankees i'm not a yankee while according to the southerners i'm not a southerner...these are the only two general locales i've inhabited

The bear I guess? It seems a bit more spectacular.

Would you rather quit your job and move to South America or quit your job and move to Africa?

I think I could do more good in Africa...South America would be more of a selfish move, however tempting

Both have regions with dire needs.
That said, I gave up an AIDS prevention internship in Africa to matriculate with Teach for America. But that decision was temporary, and I will go to Africa at some point in the future.

Would you rather work on AIDS prevention or Malaria prevention?

Surviving in the desert I suppose.

Would you rather jump into a situation with the intent to help people but find yourself unable to do as much as you want due to academic limitations, or wait and first obtain the academic knowledge necessary to make the greater impact?
