hi; i'm reb. new here.

test 'goth' on humor tests; test inxj on mb; used to be a gummint worker in another life (thank you, taxpayers); relatively blunt; do a good bit of physical work to stay in shape; latest book 'the black swan' by nassim nicholas taleb (still working on it), reading old issue of 'gun digest' and a computer 'how to' manual intermittently as well; do not care much for the external, although i will bat it around with you, if you can hit the ball and not get all bent. mba; over 30 years in bidness; play bridge (poorly or greatly, depending on the day and the cards lol!). have dogs and chickens-they are my family, and i prefer them to most of the people i meet on the street (although the chickens stand to meet a crock pot kind of end....seen any cannibal movies? lol! i'm stanley, you're livingston, and YOU'RE dinner!)

y'all have some interesting topics and intersting people, so i decided to join.

g'day

I haven't had animals for ages. I suppose I just never Felt their needs too well. But I always had a nagging intuition that something was wrong.

Welcome! Enjoy yourself. But you might want to lose the cannibalistic habits while here. Might get you some trouble. Eating trout is much healthier anyways.

thank you! thank you, one and all!

had trout. lil tiny bones...go down yer throat...caught in yer gullet...hemostats not long enough to reach 'em, no doctor, die on riverbank gasping 'no more trout! fish bad...'. can't gag 'em up...ugh! i caught 'em on deerflies, cleaned 'em, cooked 'em in butter on a camp stove. ex-wife and i had a bottle of wine, a loaf of bread and trou(t) (to mangle gibran) beside the clear running payette river...yum. but them little bitty bones...oh, no....it's just like so many things....eat more possum. tastes just like chicken! come to think o fit, where is that chicken??? trout in butter vs. chicken with veggies in the crock pot...hmmm....have to consult the dietician as to which is more healthy. i dunno. i only know 'good' and 'yuck'.....straw is cheaper than chicken, but it's not nearly as nutricious....but it is filling. i never understood 'the last straw'....there's always more.

no, no, no...no cheekon in de nf club....like groucho, i wouldn't want to join any club that'd have me for a member....except this one??? harpo musta joined something...poor zippo...always alight, never closed....

Sequoia, i looked at your stats...you don't have any 'friends' either. wanna slash our wrists together at 1 pm MST?

Fridays Child,

i am a very simple cook (i am both simple, and i CAN turn on a burner or light a wood fire). i am good at burning meat; i am pretty good at cooking beans and fatback. doing Mother's biscuits, though...i have always made hockey pucks....bummer. but lemonade, i can do.

dam, Rose, you make a good vodka sour! yum....but what was with the trout scales on the rim? ala a margarita glass???
