The Dark Knight Rises!
Christopher Nolan really did a very great job, although I still prefer the 2nd Dark Knight movie.

Same here,at the very end has an interesting twist.

Amazing Spiderman - Really liked it.
The Dark Knight Rises - Really liked it.
Moonrise Kingdom - Kinda adorable.
Ted - Hilarious.
Brave - Ordinary. Looked so much better in the trailer.

Higher Ground (drama) - 3/5
As an actress, Vera Farmiga is absolutely gorgeous to watch in any film and as a director, her debut looks just as promising.

I saw The Bourne Legacy a couple days ago. Pretty good movie, although the "fight" with the agent sent to kill them was rather anti-climatic.

Total Recall. I kinda like how they changed some things around but the movie was somewhat uneventful. Lacking suspense most of the time. Wasn't a big fan of the original but always thought it was an OK movie. So I take it that none of that really happened? He was in the program the whole time? I tend to lean that way. I hate when they leave you wondering at the end. Or am I really dumb and it was totally obvious that he was in the program the whole time?

The Godfather - best part was watching my daughter experience it for the first time.

Total Recall. I have never seen the original but I plan on doing so. However, what I heard it was an awful, awful remake. I can agree. Not only that, but during the movie I found myself discovering plot-holes.

Then I went online to see what others thought. I pretty much agreed with them. Main bad guy fighting (putting his life at risk?), Storm Trooper-esque robots, and predictable and convenient. "I've been looking EVERYWHERE for you!" "Just happens to be on the same lane of highway at the same spot in the same time just about as he falls onto it" "Good guy about to die? Let's make him run out of bullets!"

Not to mention when the bad guys think they win. They just leave the main guy and what does he do? Beats them up and gets away. Also, when at the end when the girl has the chance to kill him but instead just caresses his hands and see her "no-mark" thus revealing it was a trap. Ugh. Lastly, you have one of the biggest armadas around and instead of using the planes to fight your battles, you decide to walk it with your troops? Really?

Bad movie. The only thing that impressed me was the visual fx which was absolutely amazing. It saddens me that I will never experience something like that world but as truth but told... amazing visual FX do not make up for a crap movie.

(And Your Mother Too) - 4/5

This is an intelligent, and explicit coming-of-age road movie about two teenage friends + older woman, and their journey to a mythical beach paradise "Heaven's Mouth". I cannot quite put my finger on whether it's a political commentary or a tale about growing up, life, and sex. Anyhow, it's vivaciously bold Mexican dramedy and I liked it.

Casablanca - 4.5/5
Damn it's really as good as they say. And I'm officially a fan of Bogart.

Troll hunter. They ruined the ending i thought. Almost rushed like they didn't know what to do, other than that it was quite entertaining. Blair Witch project with huge CGI trolls. Nuff said.

I am going to watch True Romance in honor of Tony Scott, he may not be one of my favorite directors, but he did direct my favorite film of all time. Nothing beats True Romance. RIP

I'm not looking forward to the end of days for Woody Allen, Michael Mann, and Mike Nichols.

Even if it were true that True Romance is gold, it is only gold because Tarantino wrote the screenplay.

The Avengers and half of the Hunger Games (last half). Nothing new in either it seemed, one sort of entertaining bit in the Avengers, and the other was the Running Man with kids. Needles to say i probably wouldn't have bothered had i not been stuck 30k feet in the air.
