(If all you care about is employment and nothing else)Go to a community college and get an associates degree in computer science and information systems and then join a company starting at a salary of $40,000 per year and work your way up. (This method has considerable less debt)

This is horrible advice for an INTJ but for another personality it may be comforting.

If you go into pathology the odds are stacked in your favor. Everyone in this field is in their late 50s and early 60s, about to retire. And there *isn't* anyone educated and trained to take their place. It's a hidden crisis on a national scale...hospitals are already treating it as such. Modern medicine cannot exist without lab results, and we're stretched to our human limit.

But physician salaries are steadily shrinking at the moment. I wouldn't go to medschool right now.

The medical industry isn't the only one getting impacted by the boomer demographics - so the the petroleum industry. If you are interested in rocks, or Chem E stuff I know

I made awesome choices: Got a degree in mass comm, went to work for the journalism industry right before the Internet started killing it, and then jumped to the volatile world of video game production. Now I'm trying to get a more stable gig, like Supervillain with a volcano island lair, maybe.

$400k/yr sounds nice. That's a lot of work though and I have to eat between now and then...
