Im a person who constantly reads - this is therefore a daily habit to me, Im reading like a chapter of about 6 books daily - I cant help it - its like Im hungry for information.

Yet when I enter society, or even when Im at university, I become lost in my own mind. Its like im not aware of my own surroundings. I try to convey my thoughts and information or even ask a question but im lost for words. Too much is going here.

I just feel lost!

I've nearly the same problem.
It almost seems like an unconscious fear of society, or at least, fear of criticism. But that just doesn't add up too well.

It's basically the same when you play video games a lot, images get stuck in your head and you can't think straight. Generally though, INTJs are very prone to disregarding their surroundings, I sometimes wonde how I cross the street, because I sure as hell am not doing it consciously, some tertiary function of my brain usually handles my spacial orientation and movement while the secondary fucntion is singing and the primary one is thinking about random stuff.

First time I played GTA3 at a friend's (for about one million hours), I walked outside and I was this close to jumping on a parked motorcycle for reals.

You are experiencing the world demanding output from you, when all you've been doing is inputing.

Stand up and get started. Introverts are retarded in this area. You may not remember, but learning to read was excruciatingly difficult at first.

I second that. Especially the example about reading. I was talking to my parents recently, and they mentioned how learning to read was weird with me, because one day I hated it, the next I was flying through books.

Learning to engage in an activity and start doing things semi-spontaneously (like asking or answering questions in class) is a great asset.

I do this same basic thing, except online. It's a compulsion to me really. I simply must have information!

Went outside once, the graphics were great but the gameplay sucked!

I know this feeling!

But I wouldn't worry too much OP, INTJ's are known to disregard our surroundings and just be stuck in our own heads all the time.

It's never bothered me so much *shrugs*.
