To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. So question for ya'll. Do you think a certain company that relies extensively on convincing everyone how "cool" their devices are to drive sales, would plant people in line outside the apple stores to give false stories about how they are giving up a competitor's phone in order to switch to an iphone? The blackberry stories could have a bit of merit, but I still find even those hard to believe. Who stands in line for a new iphone when you can wait three hours after the store opens to buy one? Or they could just go to one of the many other retailers who are selling them. I'm just finding these people suspicious, and I smell a marketing gimmick. Even if someone is unhappy with their current phone, how many normal people wait in line outside a store for anything but Black Friday sales? Our modern media has developed the habit of not checking their sources. So which blackberry device are these people giving up exactly? Which android device? I just need a bit more information before I attach credibility to the statements of someone who is dumb enough to wait in line for a phone. |

I've read several news about Apple paying people to do that, although it's been a while.

Don't know if it's true or not but I can say I know people (friends) who have stood in line. For phones and gaming consoles. I would never do it. |

There are plenty of people who behave like this. Apple doesn't need to pay anybody to shill for them given how many people do it so loudly and for free everywhere. |
