The scenes toward the end of "A Beautiful Mind" where John Nash sees his "friends" and has to ignore them, even though it's incredibly difficult for him, physiologically. Because I have OCD--I was diagnosed just a year or so before the movie came out. Showed me that sometimes one has to keep on going and ignoring his/her fears, as real as they may seem, and they can be emerge even stronger from it.

The ending to The Last of the Mohicans is beyond epic especially with the music.

United States of Leland:

Becky Pollard: Not even when you were a real little kid? You never thought about whether there was angels or not?
Leland: Maybe when I was a little kid. My grandmother died when I was real little. And after that, every time I stole candy or fought with my mom or played with myself or something, I'd get this real bad feeling. I'd picture her from up high with this big frown on her face, looking down on me.
Becky: I don't think that they frown on us. I think that they look after us. You know, like guardian angels. Take care of us and make sure... Make sure nothing bad happens. Make sure everything's OK.
Leland: Then, well, how come everything's not OK most of the time?
Becky: I don't know. Maybe they're lazy? What?
Leland: No, it's just kind of funny, lazy angels. It makes me think of these big, fat guys with wings just drinking beer and playing darts.
Becky: I want you to be my guardian angel, Lee. I want you to float over me. Make sure that... ...everything's gonna be OK.
Leland: Your hair smells like... ...strawberries.
Becky: It's my shampoo, dodo. It's not my hair.
Leland: Well, I still like it.
Becky: Look, I'm... I'm serious OK? I want you to say that you're always gonna be there.
Leland: I don't know. Sometimes I'm somewhere else.
Becky: Just tell me that everything's gonna be OK.
Leland: Well, I can't really make sure everything's OK.
Becky: I know but... ... sometimes you say things that aren't... ...totally true, but you say them anyways because... ...you want it to be true, you know? Maybe... Maybe that's good enough. Just... Just tell me everything's gonna be OK. Why don't you whisper it in my ear, soft.
Leland: Everything's gonna be OK.

this is a really amazing movie. i like the part when he hugs her and says it will be ok, too. sigh.

i have an extensive indie movie collection but right now i cant think of anything else either...

A scene from the film Hard Candy (2005), shortly after jeff has been drugged and he wakes up tied to the chair. Ellen Page plays the role of Hayley perfectly, and it really acts as a sucker punch which sets the tone for the rest of the film.

Did you... Did you call me?

Sorry. I was just looking through your medicine cabinet.

Okay, boring! No Valley of the Dolls stuff at all.

Can't help but wondering why all the lubricants though.

Oh, hey, just... Tell me when you're ready.

Take your time.

What did you...

- What di... - You remember what I said

about not drinking anything you didn't mix yourself?

That's good advice for everyone.

You know what? I'm sorry you were drugged for so long.

I've never really done that before and I swiped this from my dad.

Didn't come with directions and it's not like I could just ask him

how much to use.

So I probably used too much

or those screwdrivers could have affected my judgment, you think?

It's real water.

Scout's honor.

Wha...

Why do I get... tied up first

if this is how we're gonna play?

Jeff...

play time is over.

Now it's time to wake up.

This isn't funny.

Is this some... teenage joke?

"Teenage."

Yes.

Joke?

No.

There is also a scene in that movie where Nash is walking on the University campus, awkwardly shambling along, quite noticeably, and the students are laughing at him because of his blatantly fearful demeanor. I feel that is me, as far as the fearful demeanor part goes, anyway. Going from near complete isolation to being around dozens of people is like a system shock.

I don't know if there are any that "speak to me" per say, but the scene in Schindler's list when Schindler looks at his watch and realizes the monetary value of it could have saved another person, usually gets me. And I'm not an emotional sucker concerning cinema.

Wow,I can't believed its been this long visiting this site for about 2 yrs ago.I just wanted to tested the waters without visiting this site.I am making out fine and its nice once in a long while to come back to revisit on the reason why I am here and the sole purpose. Coming back here is mainly due to work related issues, as a newbie and still working out the kinks to make my current department better without too much aftershocks repercussions. Not to go onto a rant just want to get it all out there.

I would say the closest movie would be the movie: "Michael Clayton" the story of the "FIXER" lawyer who clean up after people mistakes and fixs it them magically. When I first heard about it and take a good look of the main character struggles I would say to myself,"Yeah, I know how you felt about the BS shoot back at you even the job is cleaned up."

Fight Club = the scene where Edward Norton beats himself up.
Queer as folk(tv show) - the scene where Brian's sleeps with a guy who looked exactly like his ex-boyfriend. It broke my heart.
