I thought about doing some witty introduction title, but I came to the conclusion that it was much more likely that I would make a fool of myself in the process so I decided against it.

I have taken tests before, and I can say for certain I always get introversion. I took the test from the Keirsey team and got a 10 on introversion. Go figure. My most common result tends to be INTJ, so I guess I am a mastermind...which would explain why I had to brainwash my girlfriend into believing I am always right...which I am. (well, not really, but I like to think so)

I am a college student in LA, a place full of silly people, and I definitely feel like I am in a group comprising only 2% of the population. My major is political science, and I am minoring in computer science and music. The music is more for fun, and I wanted to learn about the theory behind it and such. I don't see myself following a career path in music. I'm not sure what I want to do with my life, but I sure am thinking about it all the time.

My interests include music, computers, politics, history, space, ancient civilizations, and other random stuff.

Anyway, glad to be here to talk with some like minded people!

We have similar interests, (except for the music :D), could you tell me a bit more about studying Political sciences, is it worth it?

Welcome to this odd little place in the internetz.

As a way of introduction, please do share your indoctrination/brainwashing techniques. I myself opt for the good old Pavlov's Dog conditioning, with the added bonus of a saliva-canister strapped to the person in question's back.

Welcome!

You needn't worry about being called out for witty pleasantries that don't quit make the grade; such failure is expected.

The Forumites are a very forgiving bunch, in the sense that while thorough public excoriation is unavoidable, we usually go back to being friends again.

Note: a catalog of your most embarrassing faults is being compiled and will go viral tonight at 2100 GMT.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Zephyrion, I do enjoy studying political science because I find the theories and the topics discussed very interesting, and I enjoy hearing what other people have to say. I am taking a Congress simulation class this fall, which I expect to be challenging but also rewarding. My only concern is about the potential for actually getting a job. That is one of the reasons I am studying computer science as well. I have thought about law school, but I am not sure if that is what I will do. I might try to get some certificates in programming and get a techie job, and work my way up in that industry, but eventually I want to get involved in politics. I feel like I need a background other than politics to be successful in politics though, if that makes any sense at all.

As for my brainwashing techniques, hehe, I always make sure to have a bell at hand which I ring quite often. Of course, my unbeatable charm helps as well.

Yeah, I know the feeling, I would also like to go into politics, but perhaps choose something like Journalism or such before I do. Well, I guess i`ll just have to wait and see how it pans out.
