Why was the thread "Does Ivy Matter" in the Work and Education section deleted for copyright? I provided the name of the author. If you guys needed a link to the website I got it from you could have asked me and in turn posted it in the OP, instead of deleting the entire thread after other people had replied. Also, this thread is relevant to other discussions in other threads and very useful.

Copyright doesn't just mean you cite the author. It means you have to have permission of the author to post the entirety of their work.

Sure, fine, but who's going to care? This is an obscure site one the world wide web, not a scholarly journal.

And like I said, we could have just deleted the entire work and replaced it with a link instead of deleting the entire thread after there were some productive replies.

Here's the link: http://www.theamericanscholar.org/th...ite-education/

Now reopen the thread. Thanks.

INTJ forum came up #2 under "Does Ivy Matter" in Google from that thread. You have a point.

The problem with just links is that when the link breaks, the thread becomes contextless. You can write a short summary/critique of the piece and link to it if you'd like.

Yeah, and meanwhile you're probably downloading music and movies free off the internet, which is doing much more to the economy than what I did.

Anyways, I'll try and summarize this article and post again if I have time.
