Yesterday my ENFJ mother stormed into my room to tell me that my growing dislike of human contact is abnormal. In full agreement I told her to leave me alone and ended up searching for various theories on personality types only to find myself here.

I hope to learn a lot more about personality typology and speak with some like-minded people!

Hello all

Well good, now you can go back and tell her that you've found a place to increase your human contact!

Welcome, and I think you'll find this place very insightful.

Speaking for myself, I'd say that a growing dislike of human contact (especially with extroverts) is normal for an INTJ...the older I get, the less I like it. Not that I dislike all human contact, I'm just very, very picky about who I spend my time with and how much time I spend. You sound normal to me.
Welcome from another newbie.

Hailing frequencies open: Yes, being a black sheep of my family, I understand about not doing well with mothers and fathers . . . I have not spoken to my mom in over a year and half. and the time continues to tick. Sometimes this makes the captain sad, but mostly he just realizes that you can't control other people nor change yourself.

Yes, you are older than me . . . but not self actualized, though you have my highest respect and admiration. By the way . . . I did change . . . I stopped fighting who and what i was . . . things got immensely better . . . .
