OK, I am trying to figure out the intention in calling my potential work gobbledegook. Today I sent out a very brief, 6 points, agenda for an inventory project meeting. I have about 8 pages of plans, research and support already prepared but for the e-mail's purpose only 6 very brief points were used. My boss responded with what could be interpreted as, well I am not sure yet, well his response was

"Make sure after everyone confirms that a clean agenda comes out one week prior to the meeting. No gobbledy gook either."

What the hell is that supposed to mean??

I looked up gobbledegook and there is actually a method to measure it. Who knew. It is called SMOG, Simple Measure of Gobbledegook. Really?! Is this needed? This site will asses the grade level of knowledge required to easily understand the writing samples content. My full report only came out to 12.75 High School Graduate.

Am I being indignant, should I be insulted, what the fuck!

**On a side note I have been here for 9 years and am looking for my escape hatch to a new world of SSDD!!

You're probably better off asking him what he meant rather than having us guess. Has he complained in the past about your agendas being too complicated?

Sounds to me like SShack has their finger on the pulse of this one. Given that you've worked there for 9 years (so preseumably your boss has certain expectations of you), AND that you already have "8 pages of notes", maybe your boss is sending you a message. Best make certain you know what that message is!

Yes I do overstate my point and provide way too much back up data. I think I am really just burned out here. I initiate analysis for large gaps in potential income for the company, and it is met with requests to analyze coffee expense instead. Meanwhile there is no money for raises or bonus'. The priorities are aggrivating.

How prevelant is burnout in INTJ's??

So format your report better. You should have an executive summary stating your conclusions for those that dont want to read the whole thing. If they disagree with that they can drill down into the report to find the reasoning and the data.

OK, so apparently my e-mail lacked a happy greeting before I started with the agenda. My content was fine, just my opening "struck him as odd". He is odd. He is moodier than a woman going through menopause.
