More socially left I think. That's also a trend with the younger generations.
I don't think many Paul supports will break towards Obama. Obama is the established evilš with (former?) majority support. Add in economic impotence and the only real choice, besides Ron Paul, is for a fiscally conservative Republican. At least the religion crap will be cut out when it comes to actual laws. Let them sprout their bullshit--so long as the most important issue is resolved.
I'm also curious. The real question in that hypothetical race, however, is how the social conservatives will break--or how many will even vote. Obama is virtually unthinkable but Ron Paul is still a libertarian. More than anything, I think inaction will decide this race. The GOP has a good shot at making Obama a 1-term president. |

You tend to forget that POTUS doesn't do his job alone, it's not because he wants a law to be passed that it'll. As for those who say he did nothing, well let's look at |

As far as him being the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, ending the wars can be all up to him. He can have all of our guys and gals home in time for dinner if he wanted to. Funny how its all the promises in the world and he suddenly changes his mind as soon as he is in office. Not only are we still chugging away in Iraq and Afghanistan, he is expanding the fighting into Pakistan, Libya and supposedly Yemen. Oah, wait, I forgot, newsflash, now that the campaign season is getting started, Obama seems about to announce a withdrawal of 10k of the 100k troops who are stationed in Afghanistan. What a champion for world peace. |

There. It took me about 2 minutes to look up that old speech. Unfortunately, I took that to the bank and voted for him, too bad the check bounced |

No. Because I thought that President Barack Obama was being truthful in his promises to end the wars that Bush started, and that he would show the world that we desire to be at peace. Not only are we still in those countries, and I get to regularly watch in the Arab media how pissed off those people are because of it, but he has expanded the military adventurism into Pakistan, Libya and Yemen. How long do you think its going to take for American cities to start blowing up? Oah. Pardon me if I am mistaken, but aren't you Canadian? Well then, that's not your problem, keep meddling away in American politics encouraging a continuation of the exact same crap that Bush was doing.
His demand of "Just leave us alone" really isn't that unreasonable. In fact, I would probably also be flying planes into buildings considering some of the very justifiable complaints that they have. |
