Are you one? Yes or no?

Additionally, do you accept this fact, or do you try and change?

Yes, I'm trying to change it. I just seem to procrastinate changing.

I never procrastinate with something I want to do, but I am pretty good at procrastinating at things I don't want to do. My work, I don't procrastinate because I love what I do. At home, I procrastinate putting up Christmas decorations.

I guess procrastination is 'situational' for some people like me, while for other people it's a way of life.

I procrastinate with almost everything. There was a time in middle school where I would do my homework first thing when I got home from school, but that's been long gone. I'm to the point now where I usually start essays for school around 3am the morning that they're due. And on school nights I usually go to bed at 10pm, so you can see how big of a problem it is.

If it's work related, though, I get it done ASAP because there's a lot to be gained by doing it quicker. With things for school, the only thing I would gain by getting it done quickly would be a peace of mind that I don't have to do it anymore once it's done. Apparently that's not enough to keep me from waiting until the last minute. I guess it's just a problem of motivation.

I procrastinate big time with things that I don't want to do. However, when it comes to things I really enjoy, I don't procrastinate at all.

I take for granted that I'll not be able to use all my time and effort in the most efficient way, then use a timetable in order to fight procrastination. As with every struggle, the result is not obvious.

I have procrastinated things I don't want to do or am not required to do as long as I can remember.

In high school I did homework in the class right before it was due for almost every assignment, resulting in absolutely NO time spent working on schoolwork outside of school. I loved it. However, sadly, the system failed me when I started college.

Never put off until tomorrow that which can be avoided altogether.

No. I tend to keep loose timetables, but if there's something important, I do it right away. If there's something I especially dislike doing, I do it first so I don't have to worry about it.

It's a common symptom of perfectionists. Discouraged perfectionism causes problems with untidiness in living spaces, disorderly desks, and procrastinating tendencies. My personal theory is that it's a direct result of knowing innately exactly how long something will take us to do and then not feeling the need to act on it immediately because we're reluctant to take any longer than necessary!

Of course, that's just me.

Maybe. I had the very bad habit of waiting till like 2 or 3 or 4 or 5.... AM to begin my essays that were due at 7. AKA I was more willing to sacrifice my sleep than begin these loathsome essays. I really, really, really despise writing essays, and so I basically tried to avoid writing them as long as possible. The fact I had to write an essay fell on my shoulders the second I was done with the school day though, it was like torment I knew was coming, but wanted to postpone as long as possible.

This pretty much spells me. Except I used to do work promptly and neatly until the 10th grade, where I met this girl, you see... XD

Depends on what subjects, though, in personal matters no one is better at procrastinating than I am...in academic matters, I am not a procrastinator at all. Um...no, when it comes to subjects I hate, I have high potential to procrastinate.

I think I put things off because of perfectionism, especially big creative things that have no deadline (like I want to write a story or a piece of music just for fun, not for any kind of assignment). What I do won't match up to the idea I have in my head, since I'm not an experienced writer or composer, so I make plans for stuff like that and then don't carry them out until much later, if ever. That's not quite procrastination, but it happens with other things, too. With homework, I just do whatever it takes to meet deadlines–I often end up doing things at the last minute, although it's more because I like to have time to think informally about problems before sitting down to write out answers–I often visualise myself writing up problem sets with perfect organisation and wording, too. (I also write papers in my head sometimes–often when I'm walking to or from classes, thinking about something, I'll find some really good wording for a point I want to make, and I'll compose a paragraph around it.)

I've always been a terrible procrastinator. At first I thought 'this probably isn't a very good thing....', but I refused to change and since then I have adapted to the ways of procrastination and I have accepted the fact that I will always procrastinate

Nowadays I need that last minute pressure, I'm apathetic until the clock really starts ticking. My laziness is usually rewarded with Bs (70-80%? Not that familiar with the American grading), so I'm not that motivated to change.

LOL, this poll is one sided.

It depends when it comes to procrastination.

I usually do what is important to me first. So if I have a school project that I don't care much about I will do a lot of other things before I tackle it. If I really don't care about it then I will wait until I simply have to get it done.

It is so hard to force myself to do work when I think the project / paper is worthless, or is going to be graded by someone who doesn't have the expertise the in subject as I. When someone grades the "paper" (format, etc) more than they grade the research, I get really, really pissed. I could have figured out the meaning of life and I get a B. I want to strangle my instructor, lol.

When it comes to my career, I'm the opposite of procrastinator.
