Out of all of them, Riker really rubs me the wrong way. He's a smarmy jackass and not amusing in the slightest. Runners up are Kes and Neelix.

Bashir - Smug, overly chatty, outraged at all the wrong things
Neelix - Intrusive, overly familiar Riker - Same impression as Arcanist (see above post) Benjamin Sisko - Arrogant, easily duped Jake Sisko - Stupid, foolish, mopey, impressionable Keiko - Overbearing, irritable, generally unpleasant O'Brien - Weak, spineless Ezri Dax - Weak, spineless Wesley Crusher - Useless, beneficiary of nepotism Kes - Just a waste of space |

Wesley Crusher- Like Toby Maguire's Peter Parker, only in Star Trek...shoot me.
Janeway- Man? Woman? Make up your mind. Neelix- I would've made sure he was the last of his kind. The chance of him budding or sprouting is not worth it. Counselor Troi- Sure she had one of the most rock'n bods in Star Trek history, but the idea there was no other passable clairvoyant up for the job escapes me. Probably had to sleep with Riker to get the job. Enterprise - The only character worth watching was T'Pol. She was not enough to bring me back for a second episode. DS9- They would've been more entertaining if the entire crew had been assimilated. |

Counselor Troi. The thought of a therapist on the command bridge of a starship is so New-Agey it makes me gag.

You can't deny that that character was exquisitely played by Louise Fletcher. I actually loved Kai Winn. She was the bitch everyone loved to hate. She could probably give Picard an aneurism. |

I reserve the word "hate" only for Janeway.
I'm not keen on Wesley or that blonde chick who preceded Worf (her name is escaping me) |

One word, Chekov. He's practically only useful as a boat anchor. And everybody said Weasley Cruster which I agree. Well, almost everybody. I didn't need Wil Wheaton on Star Trek.

Wil Wheaton was there so that Beverly Crusher could say "My SON!"

I wanted to like her, but she was definitely the easiest in TNG to mock:
And she did, too! (lol)
Tasha Yar (played by Denise Crosby).
I think his smugness level quadrupled with the onset of the beard. |

Natasha Yar. She didn't really precede Worf in that both Worf and Yar were regular characters throughout season one. It's just that the two roles were condensed into one when Denise Crosby left the show. What's interesting is that Crosby was originally indented to play Counselor Troy; had it worked out as intended, TNG might have been without its quasi-mystic from season two onward and that over the top Kes tripe might never have been written years later.
Fletcher is a fine actress but I have no love for the character. Just hate. Annoying, persistently wrong, authoritarian and unable to believe her own nonsense. An obstructionist in practice; devoid of redeeming qualities and politically important. As a theme, obstructionism is practically the antithesis of Star Trek's futuristic scifi narrative - which is also why the Vulcans in Enterprise were maddening. |

I'm going with secondary characters cause primary characters are too easy. Plus, I'm a huge Star Trek dork:
Kai Winn - I agree with others here, I was also happy to see her character burn to death. I applauded. I think Louise Fletcher's character as "grandma" from "Flowers in the Attic" was a sweeter and more open-minded person than Winn. Admiral Nechayev - Can anyone say Dr. Laura in the 24th century? I wonder who all this woman had to sleep with to get a fleet command! Vash - Another overly annoying as can be character. The Kazon - ALL of them. There was nothing redeemable about this species. Weyoun - Worst villain ever. I wanted for his face to be bashed in to death as he was smug and arrogant and pretentious. I despised this character. |

Now that wasn't a really nice thing to say, was it? I detect some hostility in your tone. Would you like to talk about why you feel this way? |
