. I hate how the Engineer is so under-equipped. And medic.

Under-equipped? An engineer with a Wrangled level-3 Sentry is a firepower GOD. You can kill a Heavy in 4 seconds.

Medics are supposed to be healing, not shooting. you get points for assist kills. If you keep near the front lines and heal the shooters, you'll rack up a lot of points.

My best scores are Engineer 34, Soldier 28 and Medic 25.

As in they don't have much variety. All the classes get the wacky stuff. And turret isn't allmighty if you Spy it right, or spam nades, or for that matter Uber.

Medics are supposed to heal, yes, but giving him a little bit more love wouldn't hurt as well :P

So people, when do we play? This weekend perhaps?

Mmm... I have to agree with you there.

High Variety: Scout, Demoman
Medium Variety: Heavy, Sniper, Spy, Soldier
Low Variety: Engineer, Medic, Pyro

Sure, Sunday 9pm EST again?

turret positioning is important to avoid it being killed at a distance by gay stuff like rockets or charged sniper shots. placing it 4 yards back on a corner is a good spot usually. If you have a good pyro in the area he will keep an eye on engineers, as they attract spys. I tend to follow engineers even when i'm not running through the back alleys, or helping the front line. As a pyro, theres nothing wrong with hanging back and supporting the engies/turrets/snipers, its good field control to have a roaming pyro in the back area.

medics have a good deal of fire power at close range(blutsauger(sp?)), its especially good for killing spy's while you kite. Its true that medics spend most of their time ubering and healing, but they can hold their own against some of the more close range oriented classes.

Furthermore, if your supporting someone on a medic (like heavy/soldier/pyro) you can expect them to turn around every 7 or 10 seconds to check your back, especially if your not pushing at full speed, or your heal target is a heavy. If they are not doing this, feel free to tell them so. They are fully expected to support you with their gun, as your supporting them with your heals.

Thats assuming you dont have a third behind you, like a pyro (i cover medic/heavys a lot in this way, its a good spot to be for flanking engagements they run into)

Im down with 3pm EST Sun

Pyros/Engineers make the best home guards in CTF missions. I'm very happy with the Pyro's Homewrecker, which allows him to knock off sappers off of engineer buildings.

INFTJf Meetup

When:Sunday. August 14, 3pm EST
Where: Friend Victor the Cleaner and join his game. I'm going to go for a smaller population (4-5) server rather than an empty one this time.

It's settled then. I might run a bit late, as it is not certain I won't go to the movies with my family (Cpt. America anyone?). And from what I hear, at least the level of gameplay won't be random -- in my life only a couple of times has the pyro protected my turret, the heavy turned around or the medic tanked the turret. Oh wait, those were the times I played with my brother...

EDIT: I wonder how many will camp on defence. I will either go engy or medic. It would be hilarious if the whole INTJf, being masterminds and all, would create an impeccable defence :D

I'll try and make it this time. Was never that great but I'm not a bad medic.

I'm torn between Spy, Medic, Engineer, Heavy and Pyro. Hopefully you guys have your microphones so we can totally devastate the other team :P

got mic.

I'm good at pyro/sniper/heavy/medic.

I've got a mic, I just hope I can install it in time for Sunday. From what I remember the game with all it's patches and content was pretty huge and my internet is kind of shitty where it goes down a lot.

Sniper/medic is generally what I play as.

I was in a similar net predicament when i had just moved out of my folks place, and was staying in a spare room at grandmas for a few months. Crappy wireless that drops at the mere sight of a download. Made me realize how useful the continuing patching setups are. I think TF2 has such a set up.

INTJf meet up went pretty well! Maybe 5 people, and we played some capture games. One of my IRL friends joined in too.

Nope and I, capping it up.

Lucky drop days lately. I wanted to craft a soda popper after I got an extra Bonk. I got a Candy Cane and Soda Popper and an extra Axtinguisher that I crafted instead into the Sharpened Volcano Fragment.

Hmm.. new engy weapons, a sniper rifle, and a spy gun are out. Anyone play with them yet?

The sniper rifle is looking to be murderous.
