Good for understanding psychology and people but in an observant detached way. It allows you to understand why people do the things they do, and why you do the things you do from an almost scentific perspective. Or at least that's how I've found it usefull. I have found it when working together can grant a certain insight and wisdom into hummanity.
I find NF people tend to be a little to wrapped up in their emotions and so when regarding things it can become about what they want to beleive or feel. I don't think they can attain the same detachedness as NT. |

Ti-Ne basically strives to extract the inherent core nature behind something. Other types do exactly the same thing any time they attempt to describe or model something in terms of abstract conceptual character rather than form, the only difference is that for Ti-Ne that abstraction is employed as a deliberate cognitive strategy, and is thus the INTPs preferred method for dealing with the world.
