I am at the moment writing a lengthy indictment against our century. When my brain begins to reel from my literary labors, I make an occasional cheese dip.

No. Type is better used after you find someone you like. It's too imprecise for anything else.

I can think of several reasons for and againt such a scenario. My intention is not to challenge your preference, just to point out there are upsides. There is this neat mind meld deal that happens when meeting someone with a very similar mind. I find it comforting to be able to communicate my thoughts and ideas with ease. Compare that to someone who finds INTP's and the like to be a completely foreign concept. It can get tiresome, constantly trying to explain your very different views on life.

@OP: I wouldn't get too caught up in specific types. Even though NT's are my favorite personality group, I have met some very douchey NT's. I have also met some very interesting types whom I would not normally get along with.

Have you seen this? It never fails to crack me up!

COMPATIBILITY: INTPs make ideal companions to INTJs, as neither of them notices they're in a relationship.

Seeing as how you have already made up your mind to discriminate against other types, then yes, you should only date INTx people.
