Hello my name is Damien, I am 30 years old and I am an INTJ. (Sorry if that sounds like an intro at an AA meeting) I first learnt about MBTI at university 10 years ago, type preference then was ISJT. Retook the MBTI test a few months back scored as INTJ.

Damien+'s scores on the main set of questions:
Extraversion (E): *15 * * 43 I) Introversion
Sensing * * *(S): *32 * * 45 N) iNtuition
Thinking * * (T): *70 * * 30 F) Feeling
Judging * * *(J): *42 * * 27 P) Perceiving

Have worked in IT for the past 8 years. The company that I work for uses Insights (based around Myers Briggs and I came out as Blue/Green). *I had therefore pretty much forgotten about MBTI as no one around here knows about it and they just talk in colour.

Was thinking a few months back about my strengths and also the type of person that I am. I have struggled recently with some of my work peers due to their lack of flexibility with my Insights colour.
I thought by looking again at MBTI in more detail it might provide some ideas that could help me.

I am looking forward connecting with other INTJ’s as I try and leverage my type within the IT industry.

Damien, you are in luck. There are some IT people in some other forum, care for you to share your thoughts and problems[not too many emotional ones]. Someone will be in line to help give some advice.

I used to work alot with Data Warehousing, used Business Objects extensively both front and backend. Then moved into the SAP arena looked after Business Warehouse. I am still working with SAP but responsible for Security.
