Just applied. Last.fm user name is CuriumFury. More of a Pandora man, but I dabble in last.fm on occasion.

Did you know that you can combine the two?

It's pretty much the best of both worlds.

anyone using lala.com? I like it much better than last--it lets me upload my entire library to the cloud, with three machines as sources, listenable to anywhere "I" have internet access ....plus fill in with buys pretty cheaply, if desired.

I have never heard that band before.
I really like the more melodic, instrumental parts.
The distortion and, to a lesser extent, the vocals, negatively impact my opinion.
Case in point: The first thirty seconds of Northward is epic.

More I listen, more I dig it.
The piano bits really are haunting.

I take that back. As I listen more, the interplay of the layers is working for me.

For some reason I always found the Summoning stuff boring. *shrugs*.

But speaking of stalking last.fm. I believe I stole a reference you made, stasis, to Jez for the band Menace Ruine. Now that stuff is deliciously awesome.

Menace Ruine

The Die is Cast is an incredible album. New full-length is slated for release next month. We'll see if they can maintain their heavenly trajectory.
