Its my 3rd week in my LAN switching class (CCNA) and the last time I was in a CCNA class was last year around July or August so I for got most of the basics. Usually they would pair me up with the same classmates and teacher but for someone reason I have a different teacher who has a different style of teaching and different classmates. In this class were actually doing hands on instead of using a software called packet tracer and that really through me off because in my other classes everything was packet tracer but now I'm doing this stuff with real machines but I do like the experience and do prefer to work with router and switches physically. But I'm having a real hard time in this class because I literally haven't been in a CCNA class for a while!
Yesterday in class my teacher decides to pair me up with another student because of my somewhat poor performance. But its weird because I suspected he would do that before he gave any hints that he would. I feel like I'm psychic sometimes because when he called the guys name (that I was going to pair with) to speak with him outside the class, I KNEW he was going to call me next to follow. Is that where my intuition plays in? If so I feel like my intuition is off the charts Its like the moment he called his name I knew what that situation was going to be. So we went out and discussed us paring and I felt somewhat annoyed because never had problems like this in school NEVER! I've always been the do it my self type and still pass the class. But now its either pair up and get help or fail. I dont know what type of responses I expect from this but I decided to share this and get it off me chest.

intjs are not omnipotent, you know the reason of your weak performance. consider it a minor setback and start adapting. you know that you learn something when you can conquer something that used to be hard. fact that you can predict something means that your brain is still functioning just fine, you just need to spend more time to adapt to new environment.

You probably need your own time. Grouping up with someone else may get in the way of your learning, or you may learn better that way. Either way it might be an interesting experience. Perhaps supplemental. Also, change your perspective? Try using an emulator like Dynamips and a custom image of the hardware you are using itself (install a tftp server somewhere and upload it...). Cisco is a lot of skill work. Practice practice practice. Use a different instructor like CBT Nuggets or TrainSignal perhaps. Perhaps schedule remote lab time.
