there is this kind of awesome degree im looking at that involves both science and art. I'm thinking the 5w4's here would love this kind of program. It seems to me to be quite an awesome combination and goes against how people view engineers as dried up and artists as unable to do math.

I am a mechanical engineer type that values creativity and art more than the rest of my profession does. What is this course?

Ooh that does sound interesting!
I got into Health Sciences because it is a blend of science and art, I really wish more degrees would offer a combination because there is much to be learnt from both sides of the coin. |

You might like the art work of Alexander Calder. Trained as a mechanical engineer but ended up in Paris in the 1920s making the first mobiles the world has ever seen. Very cool stuff!

If it's fun or interesting then it's probably not accredited...

I'd just make sure it's a BS and not a BA (if you plan to work right after college and not go to grad school. Otherwise, it doesn't matter). I usually preach the importance of grad school religiously, but you're going into engineering and engineering undergrads tend to go straight to work after college, so it might be different for you.
Biology is accredited, and it's the funnest subject I've ever come across. Beats reading Wordsworth or Shakespeare (not that they're boring, but bio is better).
Health sciences sounds like a purely biology-based degree. What is there about art in that? |
