70%. Suicide is a sin for many of those we want dead. We will need more weapons than the army they have joined.

Ladies, make the lists. pironiro, come back when you read the thread title.

Flaneur, get in your best tux and bring your favorite projectile weapon. I will accompany you with biochemical goodies.

It was incorrect to use two separate sentences, though. "Like you and I" should not have been a separate sentence.

Proper structure would be "Yes, but of course not the smart ones like you and I."

Does that mean I have to commit suicide ?

Edit: I have started to read the grammar link and it seems to agree with ME. So I'm setting aside my hari-kari sword aside for the time being.

I would say you are still on the short list. Do you repent of all your grammar Nazi ways?

I'm planning on completely redoing grammar rules after you are all gone anyway so it doesn't matter.

I think, that when someone proposes this, we should all go along with it and make them go first, then once they're dead (Or about to die) we should all laugh and go home.

Only about 50% of the country are currently paying any income tax.

If the 50% that weren't paying income tax committed suicide it would certainly reduce future spending needs...........However, it wouldn't reduce the current debt in any way.

The 50% that are already paying would have to continue to pay on the debt.

Half of us, no way. Half of you, keep talking... Of course, it wouldn't affect the deficit at all, unless the dying half were biased towards the less productive members of society (you know, the kind who waste time on forums (and yes Nonsuch, I'm sure that's supposed to be fora)

Well, absurd, untenable, and extreme solutions to problems seem to be en vogue among "masterminds" lately, so yes, this is a wonderful idea.

In the good old Roman days, it would have been considered a martyrium if given the "right" reasons - and it would ensure their place in Heaven.

Maybe the people who don't pay income tax are the smart ones who should live.
