1. For environmental and philanthropic reasons, not bringing children into the world as it currently is is the ethical decision to make.
2. Suffering should be eliminated through biotechnology ( To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ) and humans should be genetically engineered to be empathetic and kind. 3. Pedophilia is a sexual orientation, there is nothing inherently perverse or pathological about it and computer simulated, child pornography should be legal. There is nothing inherently wrong with child-adult sex although it should be discouraged on the basis that it might cause the child to suffer (an adult can use their authority to coerce a child into having unwanted sex, the child might later come to regret the act et cetera). 4. Non-human animals deserve equal, moral consideration. A capacity for pleasure and pain is the only morally relevant characteristic. 5. It is wrong for Western governments to demand payment for debts accumulated by corrupt, third world governments that were not democratically elected. etc. |

1) All people who are healthy enough should be legally coerced to donate blood periodically and to donate bone marrow and nonvital organs should they be found as matches.
2) When a person dies, all his healthy organs should be taken for the sick people who could use them, and his corpse should be used as fertilizer to help grow food. 3) Causing a baby to not be alive, such as by terminating a fetus, is immoral. 4) Democracy is wrong, because most people are stupid. Aristocratic rule is more effective, because the educated and intelligent minority makes better decisions than the masses. 5) Philosophy should be taught to all children starting from elementary school. |

1) I'd love to see the fall of free market capitalism
2)I'd love to see the fall of religion and superstition 3)Total free speech is not always justified. 4)I am a pinko, hippy, bleeding heart liberal. Also a left wing democratic socialist and I feel justified in being so. 5)Everyone one is latently bi sexual. 6) Political correctness is awesome 7)Rapists should be chemically castrated 8)Torrenting is awesome 9) Stereotypes are more often true than false |

1)Removing of a fetus/baby/violinist at any point of a pregnancy is not immoral.
2)I'd love to see the fall of religion and superstition. 3)Having a child should be a privilege not a right. 4)Ideals of western intelligence are laughable if not down right wrong. |

What's the point? They wouldn't be allowed to use their reasoning to vote without democracy, and thus would essentially be impotent as thinkers. |

1) Governments should have no authority over anyone who does not consent to it, except as it may pertain to #3.
2) All resources a nation has should be owned by the public and used for the public's benefit. 3) Any person found to be involved in government related graft or corruption should be publicly executed. 4) Every citizen of sound mind should be offered a rifle at government expense and offered training in the basics of soldiering in the interest of national defense. 5) People who do not have children should have to forfeit their right to government funded programs for elderly people. Lets face it, its a pyramid scheme and if you don't put a block or two below you then you're contributing less than welfare mothers who have many children. 6) The only people who like Communism are those who have never lived as a citizen of a Communist country. 7) Capitalism is the only way to raise the standard of living for everyone. All those fat welfare mothers watching cable in their air conditioned apartments in the US can't be wrong. |

capitalism sucks, abortion is OK, god is a contrived fairy tale, and the world would be better off if we spiked the watering hole with birth control.

1. There is no truth, only opportunities.
2. Everything is an argument. 3. There is no good and evil, right and wrong, moral and immoral, only situations. 4. Human life is not sacred. 5. There will always be a ruling elite. 7. Political ideologies are mechanisms of control; buy into them at your own detriment. 8. All political ideologies are based on ridiculous assumptions about human nature. 9. "Works in theory" doesn't matter. 10. Break socially defined moral rules if it serves your interest, just don't get caught. |

All of these take place in ideal settings:
1) We should let A.I take over earth when it is able to (if it is proven to be a superior intelligence). And we should work on letting them take over. At that point, we should stop reproducing. 2a) We should set up a world government run by highly intellectual people (or machines). Basic laws apply globally, and global cooperative actions are enforced. Land is split into states with differing ideologies (but still keeping the basic global laws). People are free to migrate to a land of their choosing (effectively choosing their ideology). There is no nationality. We are all Earthlings. No such thing as passports, although IDs will have to be checked at border crossings in case of criminals trying to flee. 2b) Also, conscription is illegal. There is one central army, focused strictly on global defence. 3) Organised religion is banned. People are free to pray to whatever they want in the comforts of their own homes, but no churches, mosques, temples, etc. Needless to say, religious celebrations are not holidays. Parents are not allowed to coerce their children to their beliefs. 4) Gun control. No one but those enforcing (police) the law has access to conventional weapons. WMDs will be globally banned. Complete nuclear disarmament. Complete disarmament of offensive weapons of any kind. 5) Abortions are completely legal (unless they danger the mother too, of course). 6) Homosexuality is accepted. Polygamy is acceptable if the parties involved are fully aware of the situation and agree to it. 7) Marriage is useless as an idea. Civil unions exist, and those involved are not under any contractual agreement, unless they have a pre-nup (they have to opt-in to be bounded together) 8) Dead bodies are harvested for viable organs. With no religion, there is no need for burial. Non-utilisable body parts should be gotten rid of in the least environmentally damaging way possible. 9) Vegetarianism is heavily encouraged, but eating meat is not banned. Subsidies given to crop farmers to produce more vegetables. Animal farmers are taxed heavier. Cheap vegetables, expensive meat. 10) Animal rights will have to be studied scientifically. Comparative cognition is used to study what pain/pleasure families of animals have. Animal rights will not be equal, but will vary as cognitive capabilities vary. 11) Personal transportation is heavily discouraged, by lack of roads and increased taxes. Fuel-based transports are banned (read: no use of petrol). Public transport should be made much more efficient to compensate. 12) Education is emphasised. Where possible, it should be made free. The internet is used to great effect. Lectures are available for anyone to view. Accreditation will be globally consistent and should ensure quality professionals. Basic education should be mandatory. Basic education includes courses in statistics, logic, exposition, metacognition and social/moral psychology. 13) Culture (as in heritage) is viewed as unimportant. There should be an agreed upon universal language (which is actually used!). 14) Alcohol sale is prohibited. Drunkenness of any sort is illegal in public spaces. You are free to brew your own shit, but if you drink and get drunk in public, there will be serious consequences. 15) Smoking is banned. Cigarette production is banned. 16) Drug traffickers/fencers who smuggle or sell willingly, gets executed if caught. |

1. Women have more rights and privileges than men: longer life span (~5 more years), ability to take 26 weeks of maternity leave (as opposed to only 2 weeks of paternity leave), don't have to sign up for the Selective Service and get drafted/fight on the front lines, etc.
2. Children that scream and behave obnoxiously in movie theaters, restaurants etc. should be escorted off the premises with their parents. 3. Not everyone is college material. Some would do just fine with 8 grades and a technical school. 4. Baby Boomers are not "the greatest generation" - far from it. 5. We will never know peace. |

1. Our culture has too much of a brain-boner for rationality. Irrationality apprehended through the appropriate lens often offers the more incisive view into problems as they concern us. The understanding that tends to carry us the farthest, as we are capable of understanding things with all of our faculties, is typically of the 'interior' rather than the 'exterior'. Simply: objectivity is often overrated.
2. Which leads me to: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. . If done right, living sensually and ecstatically is richer than living intellectually. 'Primitivism' is timeless, 'civilization' is only the tip of the iceberg. 3. Fuck the economy, working 9-5, getting married, leaving a legacy, etc. That's for people with no imagination, or perhaps those terrified of dying alone... failing to realize that we all die alone, everything withers shortly after it comes into season, and that inevitable degeneration and death makes all of these goals seem downright small and prosaic, or like cheap distractions to lull us into complacency instead of valid answers. 4. Happiness isn't the ultimate goal, equanimity is closer to it. Happiness as an answer is too simple, if we're miserable perhaps then we should be. Depth of meaning is found more in how we bear our pain, and so a life of pain (taken equanimously) could very well be the more rewarding of the two. 5. Standard moral advisements have to be negotiable to be worth anything. No action is inherently good or bad, only the motive (and perhaps the result) may be. In some circumstances, killing, or even the most serious transgressions (ie: genocide) might be the appropriate response. For an 'enlightened' individual, nothing is taboo, and rightly so, those only exist for those who benefit from them. Which I admittedly am. |

-Respect of human life at every degree (birth and death)
-Respect of different beliefs. -The hedonism and extreme laicism of this society is not all that good as they tell us. -Democracy fails. -We probably need an other world war to sort out many of the issues related to the world economy annd economic and political systems in the world. |

Life is more important than happiness or opportunity.
Life would be better with more both/ands rather than either/ors. Balance. |

Truth is a lie. Truth, with a capital T. I break into peals of mental laughter whenever someone says "I seek the Truth". And I seek unicorns.
You can be self-interested and be a good person. After all, why should anyone demand that I live for them? Why is always bending over backwards to accommodate other people a good thing? It can do good, but seriously. Those who "never think of themselves" are being treated like gods. That's right. They don't think of themselves. They always think of you. Now I know why you like them. Convenient. Altruism is overrated.
Oh yes, we do. I'm rolling around in my rights and privileges. It's more acceptable for a woman to hit a man. Pauvre, pauvre garçons... |

When spending hundreds of thousands on surgery for the sole purpose of becoming better looking is an attractive proposition (pun not intended) from a purely financial standpoint, it's pretty clear that human society is fundamentally broken.

1. Democracy is horrible.
2. The idea of the modern state is flawed. 3. Values such as pity, humility, chastity and meekness should not be valued. 4. If i was given the choice id rather be hitler than mother theresa 5. Time is an invention of the mind 6. There are few ideals more destructive than equality. 7. Being alive does not grant you the right to live |

Taxing inheritance is just fine, you have probably done nothing to get that income and the size of it is just a matter of luck.
Eating dog or cat is just as moral (or immoral) as eating pig and cow. |
