Last night in my dream, I was visiting a school for some reason and walked by a classroom where the teacher and students were preparing a bulletin board for Women's History Month. The teacher (a middle-aged male) was engaging the students in a discussion about the courage that women have had to have at various times in history (including now) and various places. I thought the teacher was neat and was wondering if he was single.

My dream last night actually involved a 'meetup' with several people here in attendance. It was in a castle that was supposedly a university, and we were all in a locker room, playing cards. How odd.

I dreamed last night that I over slept this morning and woke up at 4pm to find out I was fired. When I awoke this morning I was sure it was Wednesday and I was jobless.

I rarely dream (/remember that I dreamt), possibly because I normally don't get enough sleep. And it's rarely interesting - I remember one dream I had consisted of me getting out of bed and going to the bathroom. But the last dream I had was fairly interesting, so I turned it into a piece of writing. (it's too long to post here so here's

I had a nice cottage or cabin, maybe even a small and simple farm. The point is that the milieu was rural and rustic. I liked it that way. It felt genuine.

The night was falling and I realized I wasn't alone in the house. I started to wander around and noticed that the floor plan was very strange. There were these rooms meant for living: a kitchen with ancient utensils, a storage room, a small library sort of room with a fireplace, and a bedroom with patchworks. In the middle of the small house was an empty room. From there I found a woman who was wearing a woolen cape.

She noticed me and smiled at me. I didn't recognize her, but it didn't take for long to understand that she was very important for some reason. I smiled back at her. The smile came naturally.

Suddenly I heard loud noises. Something tried to enter the house. The woman looked frightened. I instantly knew what I had to do: I systematically started to search the other rooms for necessities and threw everything I found to the woman. She caught them. We worked effectively like a machine.

Noises around us were deafening and she started to be too terrified to act. I carried the last clay pot full of fresh water for her and started to close the doors. There were many doors to that center room. When I was closing the last one, the woman who were now locked inside, smiled at me again and nodded like she was encouraging me. Her fear had faded away and she now was seemingly calm and content.

I breathed for a moment, then bound my knuckles, took a huge blade from the wall and went out. I wasn't afraid. I knew I'd beat it.

--------------

This was very important dream for me. I've dreamed about houses for almost thirty years. I've never ever gone outside before.

Last dream I had, was about an evil snowman I made that came to life. I wanted to kill me. Thankfully it couldn't move.

Last night's was about leather pants. Basically, that is all. I just remember looking at someone with leather pants. No notable feelings for or against them registered, or any thoughts. Simply looking. It was odd.

I went to a trumpet scholarship audition at a college I want to attend, and I realized I was barefoot. Considering how little I wear shoes in the summer months, this is plausible, but it was very inconvenient in this dream because I was trying to make an impression! So for some strange reason, the choral professor allowed me to borrow a pair of his. I decided to go home for dinner (my home is 3 hours away from this college) and missed my audition time by 4 hours. However, it was no big deal. I think I was about to audition when I got back.

Last night I dreamed I was dying. There were visual distortions and my mind was losing it's grip on reality. It was very realistic. I told my husband and he phoned an ambulance, but he seemed accepting of my impending doom. The emotions were just strange, it was a very unusual dream.

Had the first detailed dream of the month a few days ago. Kidnapped by mobsters who had hired some sort of renegade empath to find me and my (in real life nonexistent) brother. Eventually the empath helped us to escape again with the help of a bomb made from dropped mobster bullets, and we ran into some alien species who would kill the people whose faces they saw. The ex-mobster hid our faces and got us out.

Overall, very exciting.

Like a week ago I dreamed I was on a lunch date with Elaine Benes from Seinfeld. It was actually really pleasant and we both found eachother rather charming.

Super weird considering I've never really thought of her in any kind of sexual sense. Though it's not like I find her unattractive or anything. As a married guy who has been faithful these dreams are funny to me. I do not have sex dreams but "lunch date" type dreams where the woman hangs on my words and laughs at my wit. lol. How absurdly shallow of me. I had a similar dream months ago about Eliza Dushku, who I do find physically appealing.

My wife watches crap like Showtime's "Spartacus" series before bed so she ends up having fun sexual dreams. No fair. We're both fairly honest and forthright about our "straying" dreams.

wow, my last dream was too long for all of it to be written here, and i actuallly wrote most of it down in a dream journal i started. I totally beleive in dream symbols because they have seemed to be correct almost all the time - google dream dictionary after you have a dream and test it yourself.

I have episodes of sleep paralysis which can lead to scary night terrors. Usually they involve you being aware that you are in a dreamlike state but you feel like you can't move or are being suffocated, along with the feeling that there is an evil presence or force nearby. I had been terrified a few times and recall going through this in my childhood, but this time i embraced it and it was crazy. You have to just remain calm and have faith that you will be ok and you can have a lucid dream where you control what you do and remember it all. I felt like i was looking at my body sleeping in my bed, breathing tightened up, and i felt as though there was a huge pressure change, like as if you were in a plane and somebody shot a gun through a window. Then i remembered to remain calm and i almost saw myself leave my body, its hard to describe, after that it was CraAaAaAzZZzzY.

I was with Harry potter and dumbledore and the gang(just saw the movie recently) fighting this bad guy. But i had complete control of what i was doing and it was really fun. I would jump and fly in the air with these too long swords that i would throw like boomerangs at this weird guy, never seen him before. this went on for a while and we finally caught the guy and we put some weird black dye in his hair, then he started to transform into drako malfoy, as if he was under a spell or something the whole time. Freaky, i know, but totally awesome, i can't wait for my next one.

nicotine patches really do screw with your dreams.

a few nights ago, i dreamed i was driving my x in her car. i was having (typical dream related) difficulties keeping the car on the road, and i side swiped a guardrail causing damage. when i took the car to a restaurant for repair, they told me the impact had caused damage to the beef inside the quarter panel; they would still be able to process the beef, but there wouldn't be as much usable meat as i expected, and there would be an extra $150 process fee.

even in the dream, i was wondering why there was meat in the quarter panel, and why it didn't smell bad since the car was over 10 years old. i considered that a moot point because i was seriously pissed about the extra $150.

long live the patch.

Jumping in a bathtub full of water and sharp pieces of broken glass knowing I won't die. I only jumped to make people think I died in the process, so I can live another life using a different physical appearance.

I had a job interview at mcdonalds.. I saw an "evaluation sheet" that said " i'd love working with this guy, but he's emotional and vulnerable." I was surprised because.. well I'm not. It was a very...realistic dream. Not in the norm considering the day before I was fighting poachers in the rain forest with bamboo sticks.

I was taking care of this house (I was sort of a substitute janitor) that I'd never seen before. It was huge, but sort of falling apart, and I kept finding people I knew in rooms, doing random stuff like watching TV or knitting or something, and I would tell them that they really ought to leave, but then I'd get distracted before I could do anything about it. Then I came across two people I really dislike, and I was expecting them to get mad at me, when I suddenly realized that they couldn't see me. My boyfriend came in, and found the whole situation hilarious, and wanted to stay there and watch them, but I just wanted to get away from the weirdness of it all, so I hid in the chimney.

I had a dream where a psychotic murderer killed people for this street long 'art piece' using various body fluids and other things. My best friend was included, I found it to be quite distressing.

A second dream was with an exiled group of men. The leader was some enemy of God and lead us through his house of paintings, each of which he had a person connect to until we reached the end. At the end there was this large picture which started changing when he explained his story. More or less, he fell in love with some magical/supernatural/mystical earth being and she did too, which 'God' did not approve of (at this point the picture was of a green field filled with large flowers and plants) so he put an end to it (flowers withered), so she near-completely with-drew and the guy did some other stuff. I can't quite remember the story and relaying the little 'movie' is lost in text, but it was quite beautiful.

I dreamt that I was visiting this one house we lived in when I was a kid. I loved that house at the time and in the dream I was going on and on about how I liked it better than the house I have now. (Kind of true, actually.) I was getting exercise by walking a few times around the perimeter of the property and I noticed the nearby houses had been renovated to look very dramatic and avant-garde (for houses in that neighborhood). For example, one had been rebuilt at funky angles and had an enormous 2nd floor window through which could be seen a floor to ceiling modernist portrait of someone famous. I can't remember who, Rock Hudson maybe or some actor from that generation. The house on the other side was fancy too but I can't remember its details.

When I got back from my walk, my mother was there and I gave her back her ring since she wasn't dead after all.

Then I was riffling through my possessions and couldn't find any of my ID items and realized that that was why I'd been stuck in a remote hallway in some building from a different dream--one needed scannable ID to move about and since I'd lost all mine, they wouldn't let me pass.

Extremely monotonous, strange fever dreams. Mainly about trying to talk to people who didn't understand me, and vice versa. a lot about white squares that were supposed to mean something that I couldn't grasp.

Since no one else noted, this was a fantastic dream. I love the detail you place in significance. You brand dreams perfectly into story format and that is truly unique. I often try to do the same but mine usually aren’t so simple.

I find it very interesting the close {assumingly unrealized} connection to Artio’s dream above. In any case, your dream makes me think of my own observations and tells me a bit about you (if I am off on analysis, please correct me) as I notice things that most don’t. For example, your “very dramatic and avant-garde” house that didn’t particular look normal in the neighborhood. Sort of a systematic of not belonging sensory precept – of course mine goes further into dissecting art and architecture more abruptly (people too, for that matter) and sometimes wanders off subject.

The shift of attention to ‘the ring’ and how “she wasn’t dead after all” is another pattern I see often in my dreams (and I do the same in my writing). Totally shifting of events (off topic) but fitting nicely in the story as a whole.

I love reading your writing, looking forward to seeing more.

Strangest dream of my life last night... and I rarely remember my dreams.

So, there is this one lab technique I've been learning for my thesis and I haven't been able to quite grasp the concept behind it (I've come into this from a very different background). Last night in my dream, an attractive woman was asking me general questions about my work, and I was answering them. She asked about the technique previously mentioned and I couldn't give her a good answer. She then proceeded to explain the concept and teach it to me. I woke up this morning and looked into what she had taught me... and I can verify that she was 100% correct.

I somehow taught myself something I didn't understand before... in my sleep... I have no idea what to say about this.

Mind = Blown
