In my armoire, I have a Han Solo action figure crushed under a 5x5x5 Rubik's cube. /highfive

High five back at you. I was just considering if I should put my old Chewbacca figure on top the pile when this thread started.

And I keep mine on a shelf above the countertop, out of reach of my small child. It gets cluttery up there because I toss "stuff" up there as well as kitchen things.

We have neither coffee table nor side table. Beverages in active usage get perched on the ends of the open shelving between the loveseat and the easy chair.

On the floor where the coffee table would otherwise be:

--About a month's worth of the kid's random school papers, once needed, now functionally discarded, waiting to be noticed and put in the recycle bin
--An archipelago of dirty socks
--A scarf
--Flotsam, detritus and kerf of various sorts

The coffee table usually has a variety of things and usually cleaned off each night. But right now it has some fake holly with candles in the middle of each, and in the middle a green vase with fake poinsettias. There was a tin of popcorn up there for awhile, but now under the coffee table.

Different room, different table:
nail clippers
blue ink pen
receipts
pile of mail
notepad
clear fingernail polish (to put on glasses screws, fraying ends on my shoes, etc. used as adhesive)
iPod nano, still in the box. I won it a few months ago, but I am unwilling to change from my old dinosaur iPod.
Great Expectations - Charles Dickens
The Important of Being Earnest - Oscar Wilde
a back scratcher
stack of CDs
headphones
misc papers
neurology book
