Guns. Beliefs wont stop a missile from blowing your family away.

Huh? This is sort of an odd question. I guess I'd go with God if the question is about which I'd prefer to have. I don't particularly like guns at all, but to paraphrase that Art Reynolds song, "God is just alright with me."

As God I value God more, and in the end times, it is not guns that my mirrors, the gods comprising god, will use to make godly the world but our godliness finally unfettered from and malcontent with the bestial masses comprising the great Satan.

Besides, we'd be outgunned anyway.

What's the goal?

---------- Post added 12-04-2010 at 06:23 PM ----------

Without a goal, I'd say God IS a gun.

Never heard of an impotent gun...though I suppose, technically, there are actually quite a few...you just don't hear about them. And really either option subsequently gives you plenty to choose from...I guess I'd have to say it would depend on circumstances, but generally I'd fall on the side of guns.

Never heard of an impotent gun...

When empty, and out of ammo... unless its big enough to swing (and the other guy doesn't have a loaded gun).

Well Guns and God seem to be the hot topics here for some time now and I thought I see which one people actually value more, if at all.

it stands to reason that those who believe in god will value that above all else, and those who do not will value guns in order to protect themselves from the insane.

There's a manic lady in my building. When she forgets her meds she walks about talking jibberish in her night gown and she nearly burnt the building down this one time... otherwise she's quite polite and seems intelligent. I don't feel the needs for a gun though. Although if she had an ability to get a gun I might be concerned.

"the insane" was a tongue-in-cheek referral to those who hold that there's an invisible man in the sky who controls everything that happens in the world.

fun story, though. does she smell like cat urine?

Word has it that she was Lawyer. Had a breakdown and her husband left her. She was in and out of the mental homes for a few years and was receiving visits from the men in white coats for some time. Started working again but soon lost the plot. I think her scaring the natives during her more lucid moments and managing to start a fire in her home was the last straw. I haven't seen her since.

Here endith the story.

Nationalism is an attitude that governments prefer. It's better to be a nationalist than to be a prisoner.

A gun just is, why would it be valued?

I live my life quite happily without placing value on either.

This is how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.

I originally thought it was Guns vs. Gods. And I assumed, like Zibber, the idea was ideas.

I went with Gods (or God).

I hate to say it this way, because I'm not a huge fan of guns either, but I think that Guns have done less harm to the world than the idea of God.

Neither one of them are all that great, and both posses their benefits. Hooray for gray areas!
