Concerning this thread: http://intjforum.com/showthread.php?t=44816 My post around http://intjforum.com/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=341

was deleted. Its content is here:

I really don't understand what you're trying to say here. Maybe the poor sentence structure and typos are contributing factors. I'll take a stab anyway.

If you're saying you only respond to positive feedback, you should know that doesn't make for good results. If you're saying you only respond to constructive criticism, why didn't you earlier in the thread? Cuz now we're just playing with the mousie. Poor Microcephalic Mousie Guide, all unsupported and unloved, waffled into captivity, now being batted around the kitchen floor by bored cats. Entertainment... then lunch. Awwww.

Survival of the fittest.

Stop being butthurt, F, it's embarassing.

Where "microcephalic mousie guide, unsupported, unloved, waffled" obviously indicates the Guide from the original post. This analogy is about the argument, not the poster, therefore is not an attack on the poster, so it's not flaming. It was said previously by many posters that the thread was around solely for entertainment purposes, so if those weren't trolling, this was not. How is this flaming/trolling?

On the other hand, I did label F butthurt. Is that why this post was removed? "Butthurt"?

Addition. CST then posts:

be aware that personal attacks and flaming will not be tolerated.

Please let me know how that was flaming/personal attack?

The topic of this thread is "The INTJ Guide to Dating," not Fubudis' behavior in-thread. The contents of the post I deleted do not treat that topic. Rather, they aim to antagonize another poster by pointing out issues with their sentence structure and comparing their OP to a plaything. While questioning the credentials of the OP is fine, especially since he chose to refer to his own expertise on the subject matter, a line must be drawn somewhere between questioning credentials and failing the topic. I chose there.

FYI,

Flaming - making hostile, mean-spirited posts that are less about the topic and more about being hurtful to the opponent which incites the responders to flame back.

It'd be considerably easier if y'all actually talked about dating and INTJs.

Thanks, CST. I do believe this is why I don't play in that forum very often -- you pull the half-dead mousie away from the cat.

Spoilsport.

However, repeated attempts to ask him for actual data was met with derision, personal attacks (imo) and continued comments that he didn't have to provide said data because he is an expert so he opened himself up to comments on his expertise, opinions, behavior etc. He derailed his own thread into what it became when he refused to provide factual data and links to same for his argument. Can't blame someone for walking through the very door he opened himself.
