A thread for links to member blogs, websites outside the INTJ forum? None

I'm curious to know more about other members (not personal stuff) - would like to read blogs (outside the forum), visit websites, see artwork, publications, etc. How about a thread where members can just post links? Entirely voluntary, of course. Just links, no info or promotion. Maybe feedback?

I apologize if this exists somewhere or is a "no-no" - haven't found it.

Members already have the option to list a web page in their public profile. Posting of links to other discussion sites with the express intent of drawing discussion to those pages is frowned upon.

That's not what I suggested: I proposed a THREAD wherein members could post a URL - totally separate from any other threads. The only info, something like "on gardening" or "about pick up trucks" Plowing through hundreds (thousands) of profiles to see who has a website is totally inefficient, and no way to sort by topic, etc.

My suggestion is to use Google if you want information. If you want specific information about members, read their profiles and/or blogs. You could even just ask them instead of asking for a way to e-stalk them.

The answer is: probably not okay. Too much potential for advertising, linking to sites which are filtered, inviting cross-forum drama, and whatnot.

You're welcome to create a thread in, for example, Arts & Entertainment, that is something along the lines of: "Hey, I've been looking for good webcomics, and like X, Y, Z; what do you guys like?" There are already similar threads there for musical tastes.

Also, a thread has other drawbacks, like posts being buried eventually and the fact that posts can't be edited after 24 hours. Granted, buried posts can be found if you search by username, and users could always post again if site info changes, but i think it's less hassle to just go to the person's profile and check their site if they chose to list one
