I was curious about others and their cravings. For instance, every few years, I want a strawberry milkshake from McDonalds. I have it, and then don't want another for another few years. In between, I'd even say I don't really like them. In fact, I don't even really like strawberry ice cream very much.

Anyone else?

Dill pickle spears. Every once in a while—maybe 2-3 times a year?—I. Must. Have. A. Dill. Pickle. Spear. Now.

I eat one or two, the craving passes, and I am good.

I wish I could limit my craving for milkshakes to one every few years, it would certainly help my battle to maintain a constant weight (stupid late 20's metabolism). Although I do agree that a craving for a strawberry milkshake is rare for me.

Doritos!

About every 2-3 months, I must give in to a Doritos craving. Nacho all the way!

Split pea soup. I don't like peas at all but every couple of years I have to get a bowl of split pea soup when I finish it I don't crave it for years, can't figure that out.

I love pea soup and HATE peas.

I have gone my whole life until now before meeting somebody who felt the same way. And here you are. Amazing.

Shanny.
Shanny
The Shanny is a Prickleback, renowned for being ugly but having a delicious taste :P. In the frying pan there should be some water, and worcestershire sauce. Let it simmer... Throw in chopped up garlic, onions and chillies. Chunks of filleted shanny are fried slowly in this sauce, and then spread out over the Propasto base.

Propasto Base (I'm not antipasto, I've always been very pro pasto)
  • Chorizo (sliced),
  • Beetroot (cubed),
  • Aged Asiago (cubed),
  • Pitted Kalamatta Olives,
  • Roasted Red Capsicum (sliced),
  • Lightly fried Chanterelles (sliced),
  • Oven Roasted Artichokes (sliced),
  • Marinated Chargrilled eggplant (sliced),
  • Semi Dried Tomatoes (Early Girl and Green Zebra),
  • Merlot Marinated Giant Puffball Mushrooms (cubed).

Those sound great! Why aren't they sold here? How can there not be a market?

Delicious! Especially with some ham in it. Doesn't taste like fresh peas though. I love fresh sugar peas from the garden. That's not a craving for me, more like a life-sustaining need when they are in season. I must eat pounds of them from the farmer's market during that time.

Whenever I travel, I start looking for a Love's store. I love their beef jerkey. It's thin, dry and slightly easier to chew than shoe leather but I still crave it.

Every once in a while I want cereal. Usually grape nuts and cherioes with raisins and banana, I might try some dates in there next time.

I'm sorry, but you disgust me.

I had a bad run in with this flavor as a child. Ever since, my body considers it the deadliest of poisons.

I haven't had it for years but it sounds so good right now. It would wash the ribeye down so well.

I constantly crave carbohydrates. But I have a high metabolism.
Right now I would love to eat an entire bag of dorito's or frito's, or anything from the ito's family [ito's must have something to do with corn because everything that ends in ito is made from corn].

I crave itos
