It is pretty well accepted that the two hemispheres of the brain have their individual functions.

). Hence, a lot of people claim that they are one or the other, as if both sides hemispheres cannot be equally competent.

However, I never really noticed this. In fact, I don't particularly notice much of a difference between language in letters or in mathematics/logic. Interestingly, I also note that my verbal/logic skills decline simultaneously if I'm under stress or tired.

I miss details in both a lot as well. I have an adequate vocabulary, proper grammar, and good syntax, but I cannot spell worth a damn a lot of the times. Likewise, I don't really like dealing with crunching numbers whatsoever (and can be bad at it), but I like math.

Is this type related?

. It's one of the options in the "User CP" section here. My guess is that this isn't type-related.

No. Temperament and innate mental abilities are quite different.

I would say I'm balanced. I can think of the idea, develop it and then see it through to completion. It may take a few years to get out of the planning and rumination stage, but it will eventually get out to the light of day.

I took a test for this; I'm almost exactly balanced.

I took a test online and it said I was very Left-orientated. I thought it was odd, a little unusual, as I'm very apt at subjects like Calculus and Physics, but I'm also very tuned into the performing and visual arts, not to mention my skills on musical instruments...

As far as I know, the whole "left-brain people" vs. "right-brain people" thing has been pretty well debunked. Although there are certain functions which one half of the brain is used for more than others, the two halves of the brain are in constant communication - no one (unless their corpus callosum has actually been severed) can use just one half instead of the other. There are other reasons why it doesn't make sense, too (I just had to learn them all for a class) but that's the main one.

So, that's why those internet tests don't seem all that accurate to you guys.
