Is NeTeFi an ENTP?
Is NeFeTi an ENFP? Is NiTiFe an INTJ? Is NiFiTe an INFJ? Thoughts? Have you met folks who prefer the tert function over the aux or use the two at the same level of competency? |

I would say no and that if someone is preferring two extroverted functions over an introverted function or two introverted functions over an extroverted function, that person is probably not being very effective. These sorts of flip-flops of the auxiliary and tertiary are often associated with personality disorders. In the case of extroverts, they avoid internal reflection before taking action. In the case of introverts, they avoid action in favor of internal reflection.

Can you elaborate on "personality disorders"? I have seen standard MBTI describe this pairing as non ideal but never linked it to a specific personality disorder.
I am particularly interested in combined skill sets these type variants may have, that are not found in the normal type or normal population. I agree they may not always fit cleanly into the social aggregate, but I suggest they have ways of analyzing the world not seen by most people. |

How about conscious use vs unconscious use and combined expression? One of our members who frequents chat is Ni Fe Ti Se, but seems to be much more proficient at Ti than Fe. But that's not really my point thought. I think when we ruin these "loops" the functions define the types rather than being a "type" and using different functions. If you use Fe -> Ni, you're using INFJ.. (Start from aux, end up at dominant).. at least in CS. I'm not sure if MBTI has it spelled out because they normally don't focus on functions.
