I made a comment to a third party telling them that the evidence they provided about a user's tendency to post in a particular manner was the reason that user was on my ignore list.
How exactly is that "flaming/trolling"?

This summary of events is so vague that it isn't exactly anything. |

You can't really talk about your ignore list, I think.
It's very hard sometimes, I know. *bites fist* |

OK.. I didn't want to violate decor again by repeating the post and the context.
I was responding to http://intjforum.com/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=272, my post is two down from there. |

The post isn't there now to reference, but what I remember is you stated another user never says anything important or something like that - and that was the reason said person was on your ignore list.
Basically, you flamed another member of the forum when you said why they were on your ignore list - because the 'why' was derogatory towards the user and served no purpose but to put down the user in front of others. |

The "Why" referenced a list of things (compile by another person) that user had said to various folks around the forum. My post was directed to the compiler.

Except that it does address the topic of the thread, which was civility in the R&M forum. The poster to whom I responded was presenting data as to the ignored user's behavior.
My comment was intended to be helpful to others who have a problem with this kind of posting in stating my solution to the problem. |

It does not. The civility of R&M is not advanced or addressed by the airing of exactly which users are on your ignore list.
You didn't even quote the person you say you were responding to nor did your post immediately follow theirs. Their post was already heading into the realm of off-topic. Using it to springboard a comment about you ignoring the person isn't going to be any closer to being on-topic.
And people calling other people trolls, morons, douches, assholes, and the like because they, from the goodness of their hearts, want to ensure that other people don't waste their time talking to that person is still flaming/trolling, no matter how helpful they intended it. We don't moderate based on your intent. The way you presented your 'solution' was trolling. |

Technically, it is, albeit indirectly. But I've seen far worse go unchecked.

1. Notice the colourless tepidity of the troll above, as said troll self-congratulates upon being above trolling, while excusing a proven troll.
