Since learning of the MBTI I've done extensive research regarding the intj. When I first found out what I was and read the discription, I remember feeling astounded at the accuracy with which it read into my head. Beforehand I was a little incredulous that a mere 72 questions would be adequate to dissect such a brain as mine; I was no mere mortal to be understood so easily after such a short time under the microscope! Lol. I was wrong.
From all that I've read regarding our tendencies, I see that we supposedly make up less than one percent of the population. I feel that this is a high prediction; I have only in the last few months met my first fellow intj in real life. So my question is this. How many fellow intj do you know or have met in your lifetime? That is excluding online, although I do love this forum with all of my heart. If we intj's had hearts that is.

That I know are INTJ for sure?

About 3-4 friends.
Both of my kids.

My guess would be I've met a couple of dozen more over the 50-some years, just by comparing working styles and such.

Oh, and we do have hearts. We just don't give them much notice and certainly aren't going to let anyone else have much of a peek.

Out of the people I have met I'd have to say 2. My aunt and my friend. Other than that most all my other friends are more outgoing and love social functions on a constant basis.

I thought I was an INTJ for a time. I also thought my sister and mother were INTJ's. Upon closer inspection. None of us really turned out to be.

I think I knew one INTJ in high school. Yep, you guys are a rare breed.

I've met one for sure, and my dad is an xNTx. Not sure that I've met any others.

I know at least 4-5, but out of what. I don't think it's less than one, but Ni dominants are consistently the ones you'll encounter the least.

The only friends I have are on here. So I guess I'm surrounded by INTJ's ;]

If you only know 4-5, than odds are we are in fact less than one percent. It's more than likely that you have been exposed to more than four to five hundred people in the course of your life, no?

I've never met a single one, at least not that I know of. I'm pretty new to the whole MBTI thing so I never had anything to reference it to, I just know I was always looking for people "like me" and I never found any.

You can meet people who display bits and pieces of it - there are a fair amount of Introverts around, and some iNtuitives, but never the whole thing all at once.

I don't know why you'd say we have no heart, that's just a bad rap. I have a massive heart, I just don't share it with just anyone.

There's a huge difference between being introverted and having no heart.

Never met another in RL either. I was pretty surprised to find I wasn't completely alone, although I suspected there were others.

My mom just tested as INTJ so I know 2 confirmed INTJs and suspect I've known 3 or 4 others. My mom and I are INTJs and my father and my husband are ENTJs.

For the record, the heart remark was a joke. I too feel that we experience emotions very intensely; we just choose to share it with a select, private few. I was completely kidding about the heart remark. Curse my quirky dry sense if humour. Didn't my winking smiley face help at all?

I suspect that my Dad is pretty close and I'm not an expert at telling what type someone is but I've never really encountered anyone else who thinks and acts like me. I am sure that none of my friends are INTJ though.

I know two, other than myself- my brother and my dad.

Although, I may actually know three. Somebody I know from college acts suspiciously like an INTJ, but I'm only positive about the T.

None that I am absolutely sure of, though I suspect my uncle is one as almost everyone says I am similar to him; and one of my teachers whose way of thinking is very INTJ-like.

Can't say that I've met anyone who struck me as an INTJ. None of my friends are for sure, no one in my direct family, and none of my cousins/aunts/uncles fit the profile at all.

I don't know anyone in real life who's an INTJ. It'd be nice to have an alliance or two, though. :/

Besides myself I know two confirmed INTJs (my best friend and my dad), I suspect a few others to be INTJs but I'm not enirely sure about them.

Me too. In fact the people I've known in my life have all considered me to be the resident "weirdo", so I'd say, no - I've never met anyone else like me.

I do know someone, however who is not an INTJ but he understands me, which is comforting... probably because I have a profound desire to be understood and, like you I also have a massive heart - but I keep it well hidden and protected.

One or two. The one I remember is an anime junkie and, while I do watch some anime, I don't watch a lot.
