Hi, I finally get around to introduce myself. I've been a lurker on and off for a few months. I really enjoy reading ideas/thoughts in this forum and really couldn't even imagine there was a whole forum just for INTJs.

A little about myself: I was raised and live in south Florida, I tend to be shy at first but come around after a while. I was "diagnosed" as an INTJ in college for one of my core classes. I remember reading the description and thought it was specifically written about me (for the most part). I recently took another online free version and still have the same results.

Well I hope to get to know some of you along the way.

Hi, hot like always. The oil is not in south Florida yet, but by the looks of it I don't think it will take much longer to reach our shores....

Welcome, missh!

Not just INTJs here, though they certainly do make up the majority. I hope you enjoy the place, and decide to stick around.

Love Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and the Keys! Too bad about what is happening over in the gulf.

I read that INTJs are fairly rare, like 1% of the population (no sources - just heard in a class), so they walk through life being "strange" to others. So, when something like the MB comes along and says, "you aren't weird, you are just like this big group of people!" it is a great feeling.

I've spent my whole life learning to accept who I am and "celebrate" it. I hate that term "celebrate". ha ha

pchoate, I totally understand what you mean. It can be a bit difficult at times, especially when people think you are insensitive...

I remember reading about the 1% also, I thought it was pretty special. Actually, my professor was telling me she had never had an INTJ student, so it does seem rare.

But, yeah, it is nice to know we can just sign in to chat with others like us.
