Are many INTJ's fans of the Dark Knight? If so, what about him appeals to you? Do you identify with his darker, deeper mind?

I love Batman.
I believe the 90's Batman (cartoon character) was an INTJ. |

Which Batman movies do you all think are best?

Batman Begins is the best. Batman and Batman Returns are pretty decent. The rest of the live action movies do not exist as far as I'm concerned.
The '90s animated series is the best representation of Batman outside of the comics, though. |

Lol, I agree. I have only seen Batman and Batman Begins, and I want to see Batman Returns. I have seen the ultra-cheesy trailers for the other movies, and I consider that more than enough. |

Batman has been my favorite comic book character since i was a child.I enjoy the fact he has to rely on his wits and abilities instead of super powers.

Exactly. That's the main reason I like him. His brain drives the stories (with help from the villains, of course). |

As long as his suit doesn't have nipples, yeah, he's okay. |

Nolan took pains to make the current bat suit practical. |

I must say that I am also fond of Marvel's Batman equivalent, The Punisher.

The animated series packed more depth and realism into a half hour than almost all of the live action equivalents did into feature length films. |

Absolutely. It really was a revolutionary series. Amazing artwork and music, great voicework, well written scripts. They even rewrote the backstories for one or two characters and they did such a good job that the comic world adopted the revisions. |

I like the Comics, Cannot stand the movies. This is not an elitist thing (though I AM an elitist), this is because Batman from the comics is far more cerebral, far more logistically minded, and he his physically superior to any of the fools who play that role.
Batmans suit is not armour, he has added padding in places, and it's very good against lower calibre bullets, but what makes him so damn fearsome is his training, theatrics and personality. His martial arts training is in every martial art on the planet. None of this "ahh the audience has seen all that fancy stuff before, we'll make him only a krav maga student". Utter Drivel. I want to see a batman movie where he's played by a body builder/martial artist who is about 6"6 and actually looks the part. He's an INTJ, not a pouting little pansy like Christian Bale. Preferably the way it would be shot would not be centre-piecing batman every chance, but keeping him in the sidelines, or in the shadows like he is in the comics, just to keep the audience afraid as well |

Where do you get the "far more cerebral" part? |

In some of the comics (Dark Knight Returns, Long Halloween), Batman is pretty huge and his fighting style is based more on tactics than speed and agility. I think it works either way. Batman was never supposed to be super agile and nimble; that's Spider-Man's territory. Besides, in pretty much all the movies, the suit is so cumbersome that he's not very nimble anyway. |

Perhaps. But he must be very able at squeezing into small spaces and hiding in shadows, and at least must have excellent control over his limbs. No clumsiness! Furthermore I think he should not be on an enormous scale. 6'4" or so is plenty. Otherwise he would stick out too much even when not in costume. |

I love the two Tim Burton directed Batman Films, Batman and Batman Returns. I loved that Batman was so introspective, he uses his superior mind to overcome his enemies, not just brute force.

How can you claim to know even small bits about batman? "I think it would be too unrealistic too have Batman portrayed by a 6'6" bodybuilder" What utter nonsense. Go buy some graphic novels. Batman is a very very bulked up man. Bruce Lee was a bulked up asian, he was still highly nimble. Batman keeps his strength, agility, flexibility, intelligence in constant shape. If you'd read one of the graphic novels, "Batman: Hush", you'd KNOW that. Batman is NOT about the movies, the movies are live action portrayals of the COMICS.
The problem though is that batman uses both. He is not a sportsman to offer his opponents a fair go. He wants each case solved and locked up as soon as possible so that he can get on with his work in as efficient manner as possible. He combines Brute Strength, with Genius levels of intelligence, and mastery of many different skills to get the job done.
It's easy enough for him, since he doesn't get make a huge show of himself. He was trained in Escapism, Ninjitsu and Man-Hunting. He's a Master Martial Artist. Tall people are not automatically clumsy. |
